Before I mod this into details, I will leave some pointers for Regou's diff, since it needs some adjustments. Currently I am not really content with ranking such an extreme mapset. So lets go.

*OD8 please. OD9 is cool, and even with OD9 I could keep decent accuracy (97~98) but the overall map type is quite jumpy and focuses more on physical strength rather than finesse. So lower the OD to 8 please.
*00:33:851 (2,3) - Nonono. It's cool, but it's too easy to sliderbreak. I strongly suggest to do something else, because this is the only moment you mapped in 1/8 which is very inconsistent (except for 00:39:851 (9) but this one is fine), there were tons of other moments you could have done so and you didn't (and don't please). Should change this.
*00:49:451 (1,2,3,4) - This is cool but it could use lower spacing, it's too jumpy at the moment.
*01:06:401 (6,7) - This jump is just random and unfitting. Change this.
*01:24:851 (1,2,3,4) - Lower the spacing a little bit, it's unsightly while playing, they are too close to the edge of the screen.
*01:29:651 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Just no. This is a bit too hard. This is not an approval mapset where you can just go all out because you can, think of the players. I could actually hit all of these on occasions but they feel really bad. Change this please and lower the spacing.
*01:34:451 (1,2,3,4) - Lower the spacing just like the above.
*01:59:651 (1) - It's really far away, lower the spacing a little.
*02:41:051 (1) - This slider is too long, shorten it.
*02:48:251 (1) - This slider is also weird, you should probably remove the circle after it and make this slider longer.
*02:55:301 (5,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This is just way over the top. Make this easier, the spacing here is way too big.

These are only gameplay issues I felt while playing the map a couple of times. Take these into consideration.

So that wasn't really an unrankable issue if you kds'ed for that Ono :P

In general, this diff has huge spacing issues. While you have consistent music, the spacing varies alot and feels random to me. You should try to find some consistence, especially when you use the same slider-hitsound-slider-slider timing (aka hitobject timing). Consider reworking most in-pattern spacings. Also consider to overwork the spacing as in 00:04:451 - Somehow I felt so weird about this change (There's a jump before (4) and (5), so better keep this jump)
00:11:801 (1,2,3,4,5) - well, this one probably plays weird because you couldn't find a consistent spacing value. Consider putting everything on 2,5x if you really want to make it that jumpy. o.o...I have no idea, but but them in same spacing just look ugly
00:12:851 (1,2) - this jump is so different from the jumps you did before. Also the direction the slider wents makes it even more jumpier (regardless of the spacing); the rapid down movement feels stupid and shouldn't be done. Maybe you can keep the flow when trying something like this: http://puu.sh/Mc9L - keep the spacing consistent, here. Is this really difficult to play? I feel fine about this one.(And it can be play well while I test it)
00:17:051 (1,2) - I don't agree with such kind of jumps (and if I see it right, you did them several times). The music stays way too constant to call for such a jump. Especially due to the SV, the jump feels even more unexpected and random. You should reduce the spacing on such kind of jump. Maybe a not-so-drastic spacing would be sufficient, too. (if you really want to stay with the longslider-jump-shortsliders stuff) As I didn't change these kind of pattern in the previous one, I won't change this too

00:26:051 (1,2,3,4) - this gives a nice pattern, but an unjustified jump. Maybe you can do a similiar pattern with lower spacing. Maybe like this? http://puu.sh/Mcmb 00:25:751 (6) - is blanketing 00:26:051 (1) - , so just no
00:36:851 (1,2) - the music hasn't changed, so I see no reason why the spacing gets so high suddenly. The previous spots were fine (with the slow sliders and a bit higher spacing, so sliders are braking you somewhat) Ok, changed
00:39:251 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - oww, this is hard. The spacing varies so much from all ever before done streams that this was like "oh, what? this was 1/4? eww". If you want to keep it as hitcircle stream, decrease the spacing significantly. From what the music tells me (upward-downward movement) I'd place a repeatslider instead here instead. But this is free of your choice. And wow, this (9) is REALLY LOUD. (maybe decrease volume here?) Decreased the voloume for (9)
00:42:251 (1,4,5) - same spacing stuff as in 00:39:251 Since this kind of streams seems to appear very more often now, I'll refrain from pointing them up, anymore from here.
00:43:901 (5,6) - here is another jump that is totally random to me. Consider reducing the spacing here.
00:45:551 (2,3) - ^
I will keep this, in fact, they are not really a jump to me, it's just a enlarged-spacing stream pattern

00:49:451 (1,2,3,4) - 1/4 jumps (even for sliders) are very hard to play. This alternating playing is hard to do. Maybe you can consider lowering the spacing between the sliders. I personally dislike sliderstreams, but okay. Ctrl+R (2) and (4)
00:51:326 (5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) - oh. stream-spacing-change. I know, you want to underline the acceleration here. But changing the spacing within a stream is really hard and really bad to play. Maybe you can make a repeat slider out of 00:51:251 (4,5,6,7) - so this issue gets nuked and you can freely go put the hitcircles on the accelerated part. [color}#FF0000]The voloume is getting louder there, so I think this is ok[/color]
00:58:451 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - this is a super good example for inconsistent spacing. The pattern would look less messy and would play way better if you do a star-shaped pattern with consistent spacing (or less variation)Ok, change them into normal spacing
01:06:401 (6,7,8) - why don't you place the (7) in the middle-way between (6) and (8)? This would be way better playable.
01:29:651 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - this pattern would play really good here, if the spacing wouldn't be too large. Try to put (2) (4) (6) (8) closer together (same for 1,3,4,7) and then it should be solved. 0.9x spacing here

01:39:326 (2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - despite the fact that you changed the spacing within a stream again, refrain from using 1/4 jumps (like from 01:39:476 (4) - to 01:39:551 (1) - ). Especially because the noise of the music isn't really jumping here and is pretty consistent, I see no reason to place a jump here (and 1/4 jumps are always 'eww'). I'd suggest to do a constant spaced stream. Errr ok then
01:50:201 (2,3) - I already stated my suggestion among this kind of jumps a lot before here. I won't point them up anymore. I won't change these pattern. Please, respect my mapping style. It actually can play well and easily readable, and I think it's fun to play.
01:50:651 (1,2,3) - I think this unexpected movement was intended, but it plays so weird. I would place (2) where (3) is and place (3) there where (2) is. Should be sufficient. ok
02:17:351 (6) - move it more towards (7) so the nonrequired jump gets killed. ok

02:43:151 (3,4) - this is also totally random to me. Put (4) closer to (3). [color=##FF0000]The SV here is higher, so the spacing should be larger too[/color]
02:48:551 (2) - I would not expect this to be a 1/4 due to spacing. Stack it more under the end of (1) Deleted this note, as it sounds better
02:58:451 (1,2,3,4,5) - I would pick the same spacing as in 02:57:851 (1,2,3,4) - or vica versa. I think the anti-jump do fit here


Other stuff:

00:11:951 (2) - Due to the flow (and the map lacks of it on many spots), you should bow (2) towards (3), so your movement gets directed to the next hitcircle (like being done with (4) to (5)) ok
00:14:501 (3,4) - I would reverse the selection here (would result in this: http://puu.sh/McaO). This keeps the movement from (1) to (2) into (3) and feel better played in this zigzag movement than before. I really don't like this change, sorry
00:15:551 (4) - placing this more upwards results in a better introduction to the stream beginning on (5). Doing this could also work: http://puu.sh/MccJ ok
00:18:851 (1,2,3,4) - (1) and (2) makes you move zigzag and (3), (4) and following are straight. Maybe you can consider creating also a zigzag movement for (3), (4) and following or kill the zigzag that (1) and (2) call for. Hope I'm fixing this correct
00:22:901 (2,3,4) - the direction of (2) and (3) towards the stream is a different than the slider (4) direction. Moving the slider endpoint more to the right should work. Fix the direction for 00:23:351 (5) - then, too. Fixed

00:24:251 (3,4,5,6) - the beginning of this running-around should begin closer to the end of (2) They are blanketing the beginning of (2)
00:31:751 (3,4) and following (till 00:33:101) - the hitobject timing is weird, since you place a slider right before the actual "holding tone" that comes right afterwards. Maybe you can try this: http://puu.sh/Mcp0 o.o
00:47:801 (2) - bow this one towards (3) to keep a small circle-like movement from (2) to (3). I want to overlap the end of (2) on 00:46:751 (8) - , so no
00:48:401 (4) - don't place it downwards of (3). This kills the flow you just created with (3). Put it upwards, please. imo, put (4) upward just make the jump weird
01:51:551 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - remove the NCs, it's one self-contained pattern and should have the same combo color (without the lifebar bonus you get from passing this). ok



All in all, I think, most of jumps are random and are just placed to increase the difficulty artificially (intended or unintended doesn't matter). I know this is supposed to be an Extra, but well, im my opinion it looks drafty and needs a lot of work. Especially within certain patterns, you accidently destroyed their shape by messing around with the spacing too much. Keep in mind what I said on the beginning of the diff and recheck all the self-contained combos and patterns about their spacing and this diff might turn into a respectable Extra without troll patterns and lolhard jumps, when it doesn't even fit

Random spacing is when you just change your spacing when you want, when it doesn't really fit the music.

It's extra diff even without this crazy thing. You can still keep it's shape but lower the spacing, and it will still be very hard. I am ok if you really want to keep the OD at 9 though.

Haaaaa... I talked to some BAT's now for a really long time. 4 of 5 said something agains the diff.. three of the 4 BAT's are even the opinion to delete the diff..
Most problem here is the spacing and the lvl spread in the diff.. They also told me that they don't want to rank it in this way, just without it would work.

My problem here is, I can't consider that because, I have a way to small knowledge about osu!, and playing such stuff is impossible for me.
Also I have nearly no time anymore for this project if it keeps continue like that, because I will go soon to the university, there I will have not that much time in osu like before.

So what do you think we should do now?

My suggestion was to delete it as the BATs said and add it as external link.
For this free solt, I would add a Taiko Futsuu then.

The only thing that bothers me is that it has star rating: 4,90 which will not appear below Insane on the map selection (I would suggest that you used the typical settings HPD 7 & OD 7)
and the exact same combo as Insane (if you were to increase the tickrate by 1 you would get 1000x)

When I use HP6+OD8 -> My diff shows below ono's diff, while the score is lower then ono's diff(which makes no sense)
When I use HP6+OD9 -> My diff shows above ono's diff, but the score is higher

I change the first one while I didn't fix the second one. The second one is just a 1/2 anti-jump, players should properly have enough time to notice this and it gives the feeling of "ending"...

  3. Remove nuclear fusion from the tags, it's already in the song's title
  4. Add "Saten-San" and not only Saten to Reogou's tags
  5. Remove AudioLeadIns from standard diff
  6. I don't agree about the huge jump that there is from normal diff to the hard one. The hard one is really too hard to be just the 2nd diff of your mapset. It'd be perfect if you decided to make an easy diff.
  7. Rename the "Regou" diff in "Regou's Insane".

  1. Since this is the easiest diff of your mapset you should decrease the AR by 1.

Timing: Should use 200 BPM for everything with metronome resets where appropriate. This might mean you will have to use 0.5x sections in your diff to match the slider velocity used. I don't agree with using 100 BPM because in some places you have it seems really incorrect to me. This is arguable, however no matter what, the spot at 02:30:251 is not 100 BPM and since it doesn't really feel different from the slow part, except that it has beats, suggests that the whole thing is 200 BPM. Also, the 100 BPM sections mess up how taiko works and some things are really unexpected.

I really like how you handled the issues from before. Just some small details left to polish for better gameplay.
  1. 00:24:701 (6,1) - Please unstack this. The map speed is pretty fast and it was flowing nice until here. Just use spacing what you used before, that should work much better.
  2. 01:30:251 (5,6,7,8) - I would recommend to lower the spacing a little further. 2 high spaced square patterns are really hard to hit already, and spacing like this just makes it a little over the top if you ask me.
  3. 02:30:251 (1,2,3) - Should reduce spacing. The spacing itself is not the problem but the location of the notes. This is a little too sudden after a break and the calm part and is a little unexpected.
  4. 02:55:751 (3) - Please relocate this a bit to the right. Not only it makes the pattern look bad, but the flow gets disturbed a little as well. 3 grid4 down and right should be enough.
  5. 02:57:401 (3,4,5) - This spacing needs to be reduced a little because the upcoming spacing afterwards is really small and this destroys the flow and makes it hard to read.
[Insane]
  1. Drain +1.
  2. 00:32:051 (5) - Don't like this object because it goes against the rhythm in the song. Maybe just use something else instead? Like a slider + circle, where the slider ends on the white tick.
  3. 00:42:251 (1,2,3,4,5) - I think you should lower the spacing for this a little, I know you're not really supposed to map for mods, but with hard rock this spot is exponentially harder than most of the map. Same goes for 00:44:651 (1,2,3,4,5) as well in that case.
  4. 01:22:151 (4) - Can you reposition this somewhere else? It doesn't really have to be there and it's hard to read a little.
  5. 02:37:601 (5,1,2,3,4,5) - This pattern is weird, such spacing change is somewhat unexpected since it was pretty even until here. I would suggest a use of a more common patterns.
  6. 02:42:401 (2,3,4,5,6) - I would suggest to move all these a bit up and to the right. As they are currently, the flow breaks on the slider 2 because of a really sharp turn you need to make after hitting the stream before it. Might as well reshape the stream if you want, just so the movement is more direct.
  7. 02:59:051 (8) - Use normal default finish?
[Saten's Hard]
  1. Since this is the 2nd lowest standard difficulty, AR8 seems like an overkill to me. The map plays just fine with AR7, so use AR7 please (I will use AR7 as a base to mod this diff). Also use OD6 since it's more appropriate for a hard diff.
  2. 01:11:051 (1,2) - This uneven spacing should be fixed. Take a look at spacing at 01:14:051 (1,2), current 1-2 spacing is too big.
  3. 01:38:951 (3,4) - Lower the spacing a bit, should be easy considering it's a symmetrical pattern.
  4. The final kiai lacks a lot of claps if you ask me, but it doesn't really sound bad currently. Consider placing more claps though.

  2. 01:01:451 (4) - I would recommend to move this somewhere else, preferably around the center of the screen. It flows bad like it is now.
  3. 01:29:651 (3,4,5,6,1) - Since this normal diff is your lowest diff, this should be more clear. Best way to do this would be that the circles don't go over the slider, and avoid stacking circles here.
  4. 01:57:851 (1,2,3) - Fix this spacing please, 2 and 3 are off.
  5. 02:30:251 (1,2,1) - I think this spacing is a little too small. Can you move 1 and 2 a bit lower?
  6. 02:31:451 (1,2,1,2) - Please don't stack under slider ends in an easiest diff in the mapset.

I'll be honest. It's a bit too hard for me. I think in general there are too many variations and 200bpm makes it a bit too hard in my opinion.
  1. Don't manipulate the star ratings unless absolutely necessary, use standard circlesize/AR please.
  2. I would suggest to lower the drain to 4. 5 is too high for a diff this hard. Since you have a lot of taiko diffs maybe consider OD4 as well, but I am ok with OD5.
  3. 00:36:101 (5,6,7) - Not sure if starting on a red tick is a good idea. I really didn't expect this. In any case I don't think it's too big of a problem, just wanted to comment.
  4. 00:36:551 (9) - This finish can be tricky and since you didn't use finishes during this measure because you had a small stream, this finish doesn't really bring anything but confusion (to me). Just remove it imo.
  5. 00:39:251 (1,1,1,1,1,2,3,4) - Heh I just can't hit these. I know I'm not really skilled at taiko and you know that as well, but I recommend to make something more simple here because music allows it. You can try d d d d kkkkk. This is as simple as it gets and it sounds better in my opinion as well.
  6. 00:47:651 (2) - Remove this finish pls, it's inconsistent.
  7. 00:48:851 (1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,2) - Why not use a drumroll instead? It fits the music and makes it more simple.
  8. 00:59:201 (1) - d?
  9. 01:02:951 (1) - Don't like this note. Sounds better if you move it to 01:03:101 instead. I think just removing it would be fine too.
  10. 01:08:201 (1) - I recommend to remove this, the pattern is kinda long. It's 200bpm after all.
  11. 01:09:851 (1,1,1,1,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,1,2,3) - I think you could also make this more simple. Also I recommend to remove 01:10:601 this note because it's insignificant and it makes patterns better imo. I would suggest to make a drumroll actually because of all the beats in the song, would fit and make it easier. So, I came up with k k d k (drumroll).
  12. 01:43:451 - 01:50:051 - In this entire section I just can't figure out the rhythm. Everything is offbeat (intentionally I guess), but I really recommend to at least map some downbeats where possible (but keep the note density the same, meaning you might have to remove some notes). I am really not okay with the current rhythm here.
  13. 02:38:351 (5,1,2,3,4,5,1,1) - Not sure what to think here. The bpm change around here makes this incredibly hard to read. Have you considered using a spinner here? I think it fits nicely because of a buildup in the music. This bpm change should be fixed by using a 200 BPM section instead of a 100 BPM one, but if you want this part to be the same like it is now, consider my suggestion.
  14. 02:40:751 (1) - Move this to 02:40:901? Sounds better.

Well the map plays fine with AR7. If you wish to keep AR8 then there needs to be one more standard diff because having AR8 in a 2nd easiest diff is quite bad for the spread. Just change the first spacing please, it's quite easy to do so while keeping most of the vertical symmetry, other thing is fine I guess. :3

5 > 8 > 9 > 9 isn't that bad imo. I agree that 5 & 8 is a big jump, but those are just numbers.
And I don't use 8 for the sake of high Approach Rate, I use it because it's more convenient to me.

As you may know, there are already 8 diffs.

I have x0.25 parts which I want to keep in the taiko diff. and which are really importand to me and the map itself. Not just that this is normaly a good use in taiko, it sounds also right because the song has one down part (x0,5) and one extrem down part (x0,25) which fits perfectly for the game mod taiko. So I would see no reason why to change it. Also 200 ≈ 100 BPM, it dosen't change anything for the timing at all and dosen't feel wrong too because the offset hasn't changed either. You should also know that the original taiko works way more extrem with SV changes, why we, the taiko mapper use it allready pretty fine.

:arrow: To be honest, this muzukashii is mapped really easy for a 200 song. It could easily contain more tripplets in it.

I did some IRC modding on the Ono diffs and I'm too lazy to post the log, but I did play Saten's for a few seconds. 00:08:651 (1,2,3,4,5) - the spacing here made the combos afterward read oddly. I thought it was going to be a 1/4 after the longer slider or something stupid. I dunno. Might be better to keep it all at the same spacing anyway. Some of the longer sliders could use some prettification too, but I'm sure you know what I mean haha.

I know, it is a bit selfish, but I deleted all osu difficulties, which I'm sorry about @ Regou and Saten.
My own difficulties were just too old for nowadays standarts and mapping everything once again for a song I heard over thousand times already was not an option anymore. And Rokodo's map didn't fit to the spread anymore, so I deleted it as well. My bad.
Because of this reason I changed this project to a Taiko Only-Set. Meh, hope you guys are not angry. I will add later an external link to the osu difficulties.

So yeah... let's have another try...

Well, what should I do then? It's not about ranking the map fast(second year), it is about mapping it. I just can't listen for another few months to the same song(since I can't map standart fast enough). If Saten want, he can map the Normal and Insane as well. I have no problem with it.

But a bunch of BATs told me that the set is just not rankable in its current state(looking at Loctav). And having it not ranked is no option at all.
So give me your input please.

Removing all standard diffs was not necessary. Readjusting the Normal and Insane would've been fine. Might take some time but would've been beyond better than making a Taiko Set out of it :/

Well, I talked to Saten. He will map the Easy, Normal and Insane for it. Regous diff will be also added, so we have a 5Taiko&5osu set.
Though, I still wonder who is gonna mod this... we will see.

from ranking criteria:
Hitsounds from notes and sliders must be audible. These provide feedback for the player, and having them silent in a rhythm game doesn't make much sense. If you don't like the default sounds, then find replacements rather than silencing notes. You can use hitsounds from the Custom Hitsound Library or easily find others online. Lowering the volume of a few notes to provide a dampened effect is usually fine, but complete silence is always unacceptable. The end of a spinner (or even the entire spinner) the sliding sound of a slider, and the end of a slider can be silent, but only do it if it makes sense. Finally, you cannot silence both slider ticks and slider slides together.
the soft-hitnormal you are using is not audible on some parts, especially in the beginning of lunatic and extra diffs. I suggest changing it or raising the volume in those parts.

too many changes in sv, i don't think it's a good idea to rank an easy that has so many, it would only confuse the newbies imo.

In general, I personally think the repeat sliders in this difficulty can be a bit confusing. Many of your sliders repeat once, but many also repeat twice, and this makes it a lot harder to tell when the player is supposed to release.

Wouldn't it be easier (and cleaner) to use a single control point for this circle?

00:41:651 (5) - This shape is somewhat bothersome, especially since the player has to stare at it for a while. How about something like this instead?
You might have to adjust the SV to get nicer looking shapes in there, but a slightly faster SV shouldn't be a problem with a long slider like this.

00:58:001 (3) - Something like this would fit nicer, I think.

01:02:801 (3) - Nesting error.
Fix by moving the red waypoint up a bit.

02:33:251 (7) - Remove second repeat. The second repeat is unexpected, and you would be following the piano rhythm better if you removed it.
