From Sonic Unleashed (not Sonic Generations). The background music of Rooftop Run (Spagonia) when you play the daytime level.

Rooftop Breeze (Easy), Rooftop Jog (Normal), Rooftop Dash (Hard), Rooftop Rush (Insane but more like Hard+), Roof Breaker (Extra) by me. Rooftop Hustle (Insane) and Qwerty's Rooftop Taiko (easier Taiko) by qwertykool. Ratsu's Taiko (harder Taiko) by okamiratsu.
osu!: Everything below and including Insane should be playable by fairly experienced players. Hustle should be between Insane and Extra; I managed to do some partial completion there. Extra is extreme.
Taiko: I'm not good at Taiko, but I'm pretty sure I can pass Qwerty's and not Ratsu's.

Current progress: Complete.

Update 37 (29 November 2012, 14:11): Update beatmap, mostly merging qwertykool's new updates. Also to somewhat bump this.
Update 36 (6 November 2012, 20:50): Okay gave up at mapping my own Taiko and get qwertykool to do it, which I'd say much better than mine :P
Update 35 (23 October 2012, 17:35): Apparently I'm extremely bad at mapping Taiko. I'm not sure whether this one I've made is sufficiently "rhythmic" or not...
Update 34 (15 October 2012, 18:12): Taiko diffs including okamiratsu's guest Taiko. Darn now I need to make one Taiko diff to complete the requirement of at least two Taiko maps.

I sometimes change to level 3 when I make long sliders, and even disable grid-snapping when distance-snapping.

Overall
Phew, this map, could use a makeover, very hard to mod in the current state. But some some tips, especially if you don't want to redo this map.

-DO NOT use the offbeat of a song for many notes in a combo. (Sliders, if not overused, are able to slide [No pun intended] on this problem.)
-DO NOT repeat sliders more than once. (Cmon, xD you told me this yourself on my map)
-You have A LOT of empty space on this map, and they aren't breaks, and if they were, there'd be too many breaks. :3
- A few of the sliders overlap either another slider or a hit circle. It's difficult to see that.
-Try not to use the melody on an easy difficulty unless the melody follows a very on-beat rhythm. (This one definitely does not)
-WAY TOO MANY sliders, definitely cut back on them.

No individual things for Easy, it's not easy at all to mod, and [in my opinion] the map is a little too hard, despite the few hits.

Rooftop Dash
Great map until 2:05:584, At that point, it looked like you gave up. xD
Overall

Many areas don't look finished towards the end, as if you just simply stacked them just to finish later. If that's the case, arrange them, if not, arrange them! xD

Rooftop Rush
Overall, really, I can't think of any that weren't already stated in the previous two difficulties. Look at those, and apply an "Insane" mentality to them, and go from there.

Oops, xD when I said "Too many sliders under easy, I meant spinners, forgive me :(
For the timing problems in Hard, after the mentioned point, everything (Espc. Sliders) were a little off the marks, giving the player an extra 10 tick points because of the slight extension. Auto the map, and you can see the extra 10 that comes from the slider the moment before the slider ends.
Sliders: Some went down, then left, and the one pretty soon afterwards did the same thing but just a tad different, which is extremely noticeable.

Okay, included in beatmap! Apparently I'm not really good at large spacing -_-

Normal is still pending.

Mod to your (qwertykool's) diff is basically something around "the spacing is larger here but it's Insane so it's okay" and "why kiai time is different from the other diffs".

Updated, although I see a few problems, especially towards the end. There's a long no-object time and also large HP drain, so you might want to put a few things there. Otherwise, I think it's okay besides the countdown problem that I'm currently talking to you by PM.

I'm participatin in International Mathematical Olympiad in Argentina and my departure for Argentina is in 24 hours, where then I can't update stuffs anymore because I don't bring my laptop until I'm back in my home on 20 July or something. Sorry for killing you with the updates, but I got another one, this one has to do with beat placements, and some of their time placements. Making it a lil more symmetrical! : D

Easy-Rooftop Breeze. This was insultingly easy. It felt like I was being mocked for daring to mod easy mode. But after the beginning, it showed super promise. I never even realized it was in 1/1 time. It just flowed naturally.

00:10:943 (1) - 00:32:271 (4) - This part was really boring. This is the insult I mentioned. I liked the pattern. Try throwing some spinners up in there or see what else you can try. Not much else you can do with that in 1/1 time. And this was the first map I've seen with KIAI TIME. It was cool. Nice implementation, really cut away from the repetition this song can have. This difficulty is stellar. Nothing else I can remember having a problem with.

Normal-Rooftop Jog.

Excellent. Just excellent. It was pretty fun too! :D Fix the difficulty, it says it is an Expert level map. Or bring it round' town to the bugfixes and ask/beg for an answer on why it is doing this.

Hm... I managed to edit the first part (8 measures) of the Easy but don't find a good substitute for the second part (next 8 measures). Also edited a few to Normal, which should reduce AIMod's complaints but apparently still keeping it at 4.01 stars. Meh whatever. That's still Normal.

Rooftop Jog:

00:50:934 (1,2,3,4) - Consistency plz. The first two clap, the others don't. The ones before this follow a pattern and the ones after this follow a pattern, but this one set of four notes sticks out.

Side note: I don't understand the lack of a video, and your color choice is an interesting one. You could find the exact length of your song and just speed up a video of Rooftop Run to reach the right length.

Very professional, lots of effort. The fading out at the end was unnecessary. It has a nice oomph that clashes against a fading out song if you leave it be.

I would like to respectfully disagree with your video idea, Patch. a.) a sped up video would look very unnatural; b.) Even if it was a fade in/out for the important parts of the stage, it would be almost be an irritatingly distracting video because of the speed of Sonic Unleashed. (A video's purpose is to add an extra to the map, not to be a magnet for no video.) Nonetheless, it's up to iak, but I just wanted to express my disagreement. : D

Note for iak: I might end up modding the map again soon, as enough time (imo) has passed for me to mod again for it. :3

I know, but the still of Sonic just floating seems very unattractive to me. It is likely iak won't do it anyway, which is why it is a side note. He said he had personal reasons to use a sort of minimalist style without videos on his mod queue. My map isn't complete without my video but he helped. I at least know how well Grid Snap works now, all thanks to him.

Now I play the waiting game. Seriously, this map seems almost finished product in quality, but the color choice makes me question it. It works, awesomely at that, but why? I chose those colors because they compliment the color of the Half-Life logo. That's just my personal opinion, and I will respect yours higher, for being with iak for much longer than I have. Nevertheless, I will continue to try and mod this map, for free and any kudosu I get from here are probably going to this. It is a goal of mine to put this higher. Much, much higher. Maybe, if we work hard enough, it may even appear on the first page in the forum. *checks front page*

Hm... My reason of not using video is that it feels bad in this song. I'd put one if the song needs some video (like, it's a music that I know to have a music video that is simply very cool that it cannot be left out, or something like that). Unfortunately, this is not the case.

Rooftop Jog clap inconsistency: Oh yeah I forgot. But the claps aren't put as what you think they would be...
Fading out at the end: It feels weird not to fade it. Although if more people apparently prefer no fade, then I'll go for it.

What colors? Combo colors? The four colors most resemble the buildings' colors in my opinion :P

Your image is pretty great; I'll use it. I'm curious about the source though; for whatever reason I suspect Sonic Generations or Mario and Sonic at the London Olympic Games (okay the latter is pretty much impossible because there's no Mario, but still, it's London). Where did you get the image?

Spagonia=Italy So its not the Olympics.

I got it from tumbler. http://tjevo9-sonicthehedgehog.tumblr.com/ I was searching for rooftop run in Google Images and this popped up.

Really, I thought it was supposed to represent Italy's themes as the colors feel light and the green reminds me of olive green, not trees.

Yes, this is true, by body isn't ready for anything higher than Normal and I continue to fail that at times. Big Ben isn't the only clock tower in the world.

Nevertheless, cue up Running Hell, I've got an Insane to mod.

00:29:605 (1,1) - Why are these different combos? Like all the sets before them, each combo clued in that you were changing up the rhythm you have to click to. But these are the same, yet each is a single note combo. Not just any single note combo duo but one that directly proceeds a spinner.

00:59:265 (3,3) - Odd Obscurity Overlap Observation. Ditching that silly sentence, your snap situation and directional distance is fascinatingly fabulous. However, expecting people to be able to correct their mouse placement and keep the rhythm in 1/8 isn't cool at all. Maybe its because I don't understand Insane maps but oh well.

01:12:263 (1) - After this spinner parts of your map begin to resemble earlier parts of it.

01:32:925 (9,10) - Pardon my language, but you clever little asshole. After a full map of amazing spacing, you pull that. And the thing is, it's perfectly acceptable because this is Insane.


01:45:422 (1,2,3,4) - Nice style, acceptable spacing. It just irks me how it immediately bumps ahead about a half of a circle but has the same rhythm. You have a very precise graph, you can slide them (them being 3 4 and 5) closer a little.

02:42:598 (9,10,11,12,1) - SANIC HEGEHOG II: RETURN OF THE DEATHSTREAM. That is to say, this is the second time in the map you pulled that crap. Not an ask for it to be removed, just a warning how evil it is.

EDIT: Turns out its based on all of Western Europe, so the clock tower may be Big Ben. But the buildings seem reminiscent of Italy. Could be Spain or France for all I know. Wow I'm late reacting to this, xD but you are really careful with the rules. (Nothing wrong) The thing is, there are many maps with only one taiko or ctb map, and they're ranked. The map's just getting a lot of diffs, and that's great, but you probably don't want to add any more. Also, I can try to mod your taiko, or I can take it over if you don't want to have to maintain it. All of our diffs can definitely be improved. I really like how this map is headed, but make sure to watch the map amount. : D

IMPORTANT ITTY BITTY MOD - READ FIRST
Copy and paste my timing points to your maps. I was doing my taiko and realized it was really of in the second half of the song. I copied my timing points from my osu map and readjusted the points to the correct timing, it sounded perfect. I would highly recommend this. If you want to talk about it, discuss it with me over PM. Also, if you don't believe me, play the older version of my map and the newer version of the map (taiko) and notice the difference.

This ain't a bad map, but it still needs some work. I found myself getting thrown off when you almost randomly switch which voice you want the player to follow. Pick a voice (violins, guitar, etc.) for a phrase or two, don't just suddenly switch partway through. That's disorienting.

Also, I'm a n00b, but it almost feels like Insane's punishment for missing a marker is too severe.

Can you tell me which difficulties have this issue? My first ever beatmap which was made in my old style, so it might be because of my inexperience.

HD 8, OD 7. I don't think it's too severe for Insane, where the beats are not actually Insane anyway (more like Hard+?). If you mean Roof Breaker (Extra), it's also obvious because it's Extra. If you mean Rooftop Hustle, ask qwertykool.

Don't know why this never became a ranked map packs,
Most mode are really good, Can't say for the taiko's because I don't play it.
Honestly the only issue I have is that, I think, the breaks in the 4 1/2 star map come too regularly but I love this pack over all.

Heh, it has been such a long time since I touched this beatmap again :P Besides, there are too few mods coming. When I'm quite free I'll try rechecking and updating the map again!
