Ruleset

General ruleset

1. The Touhou Project Mania Cup 1st is a team-based 2v2 osu!mania 4K tournament.

   • Team size is 2 member and at most 2 substitute if the team need.
2. The score system used in this tournament will be ScoreV2.
3. In order for your registration to count, please refer to the following criteria:

   • Players must be within the osu!mania 4K rank of #2,000 - #20,000 during registrations.

     • Note that any player get into rank #1,700 during tournament will be eliminated immediately.
   • Players have filled the registration form
   • Players have no restriction record in the last 12 months.
4. All maps are played with FreeMod enabled.
5. This tournament will adopt double-elimination bracket, as such the team coming from the loser's bracket will have to win 2 matches in order to win the tournament.
6. Both team are allowed to select 1 map as warm-up. However, no warm-up in the Qualifier.
7. The team that rolls lowest will ban first and pick second. Then pick map alternately.
8. There could be up to 2 minutes rest between each map. Besides, each team could request a longer break (up to 10 minutes) once in each match.
9. If the beatmap ends in a draw, the beatmap has to be replayed again. If it ends in a draw on the second try, the beatmap will be nullified, and the team who picked it will have to choose another map.
10. If player lost connection or failed accidentally at the first 30 seconds of a map, it is okay to request a restart. Each match has only 2 chances to restart.

Stage instruction

   • 4 maps. Highest total score.
2. Group Stage

   • 11 maps. BO9. Round-robin scheduling.
   • Group rank is determined through these metrics, arranged from highest priority to lowest:

     1. Number of matches won.
     2. Number of rounds won - numbers of round lost.
     3. Number of losses by default (lower is better).
     4. Winner of the sudden death.

        • Sudden death match: BO9 with random Tiebreaker pick from the mappool.
3. Round of 16

   • 13 maps + 1 Tiebreaker. BO11.
4. Quarterfinals

   • 13 maps + 1 Tiebreaker. BO11.
5. Semifinals

   • 15 maps + 1 Tiebreaker. BO13.
6. Finals

   • 15 maps + 1 Tiebreaker. BO13.
