cavoe's osu! event (COE) is an annual osu! convention hosted in the Netherlands, founded by cavoeboy. The event hosts tournaments and features reservable bring-your-own-computer (BYOC) seating, game booths, osu!-related stage events, and other activities.

Iterations

History

As an event simply called "osu! event" with only around 35 people and lasting 3 days, COE started in 2017 as a "Dutch national meetup with a few visitors from other countries" at café De Hangar in Eindhoven.

The 2018 iteration expanded into notability with over 300 attendees and a runtime of 10 days, featuring top players such as chocomint (then Cookiezi), BTMC (then BeasttrollMC), and WubWoofWolf.

COE 2019 moved its operations to Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch (a.k.a. Den Bosch). With the bigger venue, notably sporting a large stage, the convention housed over 500 people and offered more VR booths, stage events, and a dedicated VIP area.

Both the 2020 and 2021 iterations were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With 2022, COE became even bigger and saw 750 people, a rhythm game arcade, more partners, even more stage events, and an introduction of "gamer caves", private rooms that attendees could rent out in advance. It also introduced an osu! tournament with a prize pool totalling 3,000 EUR.
