I cannot tell how prideful I am for seeing such talented mappers collaborating on this beautiful piece of art. Thanks to SAMString for composing this banger for CMWC'22, and well-renowned members of the Turkish mapping community for creating a beatmap that reflects the song the most elegant way possible.
As vrnl pointed out, we would like to let you know that the background image in question violates the following clause of Visual Content Considerations (https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/en/Rules/Visual_Content_Considerations#criteria):
Therefore, we would like to kindly ask you to change the background to something more appropriate. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. You may resolve this when the background is updated.
We're not delivering any final decisions on the beatmap's appropriateness right now. If a qualified beatmap gets submitted for content review, disqualification is in order to prevent the beatmap from being moved to ranked while the voting process is still ongoing. This is completely procedural, please respect that.
Greetings!
I would like to elaborate on why and how this background image was determined to be inappropriate. As some of you might know, we evaluate visual contents that are to be entertained in beatmaps alongside BNs. Background image in question was brought up to us for reviewing a while ago.
During the review, many of us pointed out their concerns regarding the low-angle shot, which is also disallowed according to the Visual Content Considerations, in addition to the fact that the character is/looks underage. Additionally, vast majority of the GMT members present in the channel voted against the image (In favour: 5 | Against: 11). In the end, we have decided to remain on the safer side and not let this background to be used.
Before going for a rant, please understand that we are an all-ages community, where things have to be stricter than many other communities. Keep in mind that disallowing an image does not necessarily mean it is NSFW, +18, or anything alike. However, it is undeniable that the image contains questionable parts where we chose to remain on the safer side and ask for a change, instead of taking the risk of allowing a possibly unsafe content.
If you have any suggestions regarding the Visual Content Considerations, there is an ongoing discussion you may participate in: https://osu.ppy.sh/community/forums/topics/1194421
