me!
hey^^ i'm a 24-year-old student from indiana (but like near chicago so don't worry i am okay) studying in boston! i've been clicking circles and obsessing over perfect accuracy for 9 years now. i attribute my consistent tapping to violin lessons starting at age 4, piano at 8, and a percussion and clarinet stint in my elementary/middle school's band xd fun fact: i have perfect/absolute pitch (i think?) and remember the key of every song i hear. songs immediately sound off to me when they're pitched differently from the original
i've been playing rhythm games since i was 4, starting with dance dance revolution (but my lazy ass used a ps2 controller instead of a dance pad lmaoo) and moving on to guitar hero/rock band at age 7. i tend to fixate on a single game at a time, and i'm like 99% sure osu! is gonna be my main game for the rest of my life tbh
aside from osu!, i enjoy listening to indie music (altho hyperpop has recently been inching its way into my spotify library), playing the piano (liebestraum is so frustrating but i will complete, no, master, it one day), learning foreign languages (french ok, japanese eh, italian laughable, dutch one day?), going to concerts/festivals, and traveling abroad c:

how i improved
speed
‣piano trill practice: my piano teacher assigned me weekly trill practices, gradually increasing speed while making sure to maintain consistent tapping. i played this one each lesson for like 10 years straight lmao (but at a much faster bpm)
‣high bpm hard diff HDNC SS leaderboard farming: hard diffs have a lot of 1/1 sliders that allow your fingers to recover, so i got to practice triples and short bursts at high bpm without straining myself or having to worry about stamina. once i got comfortable with triples and bursts, it was much easier to switch to insane diffs at the same bpm
