i feel a lot of these streams are just rolls. i understand its to due with the speed of the streams, however i think it would be better to have easier streams that aren't just rolls. i think streams similar to this one 02:01:046 - but maybe a bit more flow would work better. i think something like that and using the pattern of the stream instead of note density to increase difficulty would lead to a better more interesting chart. i feel like sections like 02:10:823 - dont really increase the difficulty in a good way, and the way the jumps are placed doesn't feel like it represent the song well. there are stong beats at 02:10:823 - 02:11:045 - 02:11:267 - but ever other note is a jump, except the first note isn't a jump. it feels really inconsistant. you could use a section like 02:11:934 - to go into a quick trill then back to the streams and i feel it would better represent the song. i feel the chart has more general issue like that and the use of jumps vs streams an patterning, i think it would help the chart a lot.
03:29:600 (209600|2,209822|2,210045|2) - i dont think this kind of ending works. i dont think there is a hard enough sound to warrant having to repress the note like this. i think this kind of pattern would be more appropriate if the sound was cutting in and out or if there were a louder delay.
03:07:487 - this is half bpm because i'm an etterna charter and i care about note colors. this section is a slowdown so it feels right to reflect that with the tempo. The NPS slows down going from 1/4 to 1/2 at 173bpm. The vocals pulse on the 1/1 at this tempo and the snare rhythm is the same as the guitar rhythm at 00:09:915 but at half the speed.
At the end of the day, it really doesn't do much, so why even change it.
04:52:921 - i'll go and retime these, i see how they are offsync now.
04:57:055 - do you really want to move this. my main concern is playability around the gap that appears at 04:56:939 (296939|3,296939|0) -
04:53:598 ect. is placed on the 1/1s if anything i'd argue its BETTER to have the metronome placed on the 1/1 so you dont get a weird situation where the metronome pulses on the 1/2 instead of 1/1 This is a syncopated rhythm so while the note isn't on the 1/1 its still implied to be there.
00:01:614 - okay. i've slowed it down. This is fucked no matter which way its getting synced. the bpm is 100% 173 no question about it. The instruments are too consistent for 174/175 to be a thing .
If i time the first crash to the bpm (its been coming in early this entire time) The guitars stay on beat the ENTIRE time (minus the triplets), and 00:09:915 - comes in on time with no extra bpm changes needed. HOWEVER! The crashes come in suuuuper late. 00:04:386 - comes in 20ms after the guitars for example. So basically, we can sync to either the guitars, or the crashes but you cant sync to both.
Personally i think syncing to the crashes and having an out of sync guitar if the better of the two options.
I really just disagree on this matter. The vocals change pitch sure, but the guitars dont. It might be "monotonous" but that doesn't mean it lacks value. The entire song stops for this section and has a focus more on rhythm, than on pitch. So reflecting that in the chart with no chord changes feels like the better move to me.
respectfully, if i were to both add offset and decrease the BPM, we'd have notes a LOT later. The extra 0.1bpm is needed because otherwise notes start drifting early.
I trust my timing and believe it to be correct. though i will add +6ms to the start since idk why its offset like that.
