thoughts on the song / map (feat. large wall of useless text)
this is my favourite rhythm game song of all time. i love wac's melodies and sheer intensity of the song at times, and the vocals from yu tokiwa compliment the song amazingly. the progression of the entire track works perfectly throughout all 11 minutes and i love the overall song structure.
this is my best and most unique map by far and has directly influenced my mapping the most, allowing me to involve myself with more people within the mapping community and to not rely on the same few individuals for mapping feedback which often left me feel demotivated and disappointed anyways. it was nice to be able to feel encouraged to make maps, rather than being knocked down by people i looked up to, and as a result my mapping improved fast. this was the map that made me feel legitimised as a mapper and motivated me to keep on going.
the map itself is heavily inspired by mappers such as nakagawa-kanon, delis, luscent and aranel, being a bit of a nod to nakagawa-kanon's map of the same song, being one of my favourite maps in the game despite its age. many of the patterns, especially in the slower sections, are inspired by maps of this era, while also having a decent bit of modern patterning and rhythm choice.
i hope you enjoy playing this map. i put the most effort into it out of any other.
