ffs I instantly recognized this as a faken map cuz his intense hate for sliders. the execution with circles is so good, SO GOODDD the sliders at the end kinda ruins the mood though.
Pre-mapping Lasse was the first mapper that my limited braincell count at the time even recognize as a mapper, I didn't start mapping quite yet but I started noticing that different mappers made different kinds of maps (wow shocking I know) the first thing I started to gravitate towards was cooler maps of normal songs
Mapping Around 2018, I came across Sanae-San, which at the time I saw as one of the best maps I've ever played, and with that in mind I tried finding more maps like it, and slowly going down this style of maps
After a year of normal mapping and finding out what elvis maps are, I tried making my first "russian" inspired map, ...whatever this is it's not good obviously but it's the start of what slowly becomes my mapping style now
and some time between that and now I somehow landed myself some mentors to help me with mapping and helping me improve more rapidly than ever. I would like to say thank you personally to all my mentors
Amateurre x newton- : The first non friend mapping mentors I've got, and I could not be happier with their teaching, they really helped me grasped fundamentals more and just set goals so I actually map more than once a millennia special thanks to newton- for giving me a reality check Sparhten : guiding me through some more advanced object placements, patterning, visual spacing and overmapping
also sorry for ghosting you after i got gillstar aAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Gillstar : Gillstar pretty much helped shaped my maps in to what I want it to be, as best as I can anyways. Giving more insight in to what goes on within the eldritch horror that is the inner workings of delis' and jounzan's brain and just generally giving very useful advice on how I can improve on my maps
RD-Sounds feat. Meramipop - Sanae-san by Jounzan This is THE first map that made me fall down the entire russian styled map rabbit hole and shaped what my mapping style in to what I became today, it has aged slightly for me regarding how unnecessarily brutal the cut alt patterns are but to this day I would still consider this to be one of Jounzan's best maps ever, highly recommend whether you're 6 digits struggling to pass it or 4 digit grinding for a sub 10 miss run
KikuoHana - Nobore! Susume! Takai Tou by Karen I've only grown to like this map more with time, first with just how engaging the beginning patterns are despite being very consistent, to the rest of the map growing and matching the intensity of the song perfectly and genuinely straining the player despite being such low bpm, an amazing map all around
DjKurara - Goodbye by EijiKuinbii The best breakcore map ever made in my opinion, with the entire map being loaded with engaging rhythm and especially stream aim patterns, the entire 4 minute ride is a blast.
Rest easy, Eiji.
Soutaiseiriron - Shikaku Kakumei by Jounzan I really struggle to explain why I like this map so much, but this map leaves such a huge impression on me for some reason. The map is not perfect by any means but I think that's a part of its charm.
