unrankable spread
advanced usually refers to a difficulty in between normal and hard, and this actually feels like a hard+ imo
1.8* to 3.2* from normal to "advanced" is way too large, also considering the 1/4 slider jumps and usage of 4-streams and low-spaced objects
you should probably try to nerf the diff to around 2.7* and rename it to hard and make/get another diff

all suggestions listed apply to anything that is similar to the noted objects

01:38:937 (1,2) - spacing, and sudden change in rhythm that doesn't reflect the music as much as the rhythm before. compared to how your rhythm was before, (2) will most likely be hit early and throw people off because your spacing usage will actually make people think this is the same rhythm
01:40:997 (1,2) - spacing, also that good rhythm comes back again here so ya kinda confusing
02:09:330 (3,4,1) - why this inconsistent spacing

I already tried 116 bpm, but the current bpm for the song was figured out with a bpm analyzer, I double checked it, and it works fine.
In addition, 116 won't work because this song was been nightcored. It makes sense that it's not a whole number bpm.

1. Did not change. I don't see a problem. You're right. It's the same rhythm, but I won't change it.
2. At 00:10:332 (1) - the rhythm picks up, and it's the reason the spacing change happened. Again, not changing.

the map would feel boring.

Hi here's a thing :v

SPOILER

[Easy]

Should highly consider lowering AR to 2, OD to 2 and HP to 1 or 2. This is a 1* easy so these settings would compliment that better.

So you use a LOT of 1/1 sliders. A lot...It's fine but that's pretty boring. This is also gonna be pretty tiring because players will be clicking and releasing a lot. Consider a bit of variety such as using 2/1 sliders, replacing some 1/1 sliders with two 1/1 notes, and adding repeats to some 1/1 sliders.

For example 00:37:120 (3,4) - Could be a 2/1 slider and a note since the slider would start on when she says pieces and the strong drum beat and end where she says "heart" which is also a strong beat then a clickable note on whatever she says at 00:38:665 - would look like this maybe (rough example. Also moved (1) slightly up for spacing consistency.

00:45:362 (3,4) - Here for example you could have a slider repeat on (3) since she sings this part a bit tied together (a bit hard to explain this). More importantly this plays like a 2/1 slider which gives new players a bit of a small clicking break. Here's an example screenshot but not the best example just to show you what I mean.

01:20:391 (1,2) - Instead of these 1/2 notes starting the spinner here would work better since it would make the spinner longer so gives more time for players to pass the spin.

01:30:694 (1,2,3) - These would work better as 1/1 instead of 3/2. For the most part you'd wanna avoid red ticks for easies unless it can be justified. Here for example these sliders sacrifice strong beats on the white ticks to follow the synth thing which is probably not the best thing to follow for this difficulty. Maybe for the later ones but you'd wanna keep it simple for these.

01:38:937 (1,2,3,4) - Follow-up point you didn't do that 3/2 thing here so you'd wanna keep that consistent for newer players to follow.

01:42:027 (4) - Oh and back to the point about variety this for example could work as two notes instead of another 1/1 slider. Would also be easy to play since it's followed by a spinner.

01:51:300 (3,4) - Here's another example of a possible 2/1 slider with note since vocals are quiet at 01:51:815 - (sure drum plays but it's more about the player resting than it is about following every drum beat)

01:55:421 (3,4) - Another thing that could be done for variety using 3/2 slider with repeats for example here at 01:56:193 - she says "be" from supposed to be so it could be a good way to have a repeat. Of course these things do mean changing some patterns around but trust me when I say it will be worth it.

01:59:542 (3,4) - Also another pottential 1/2 slider with a repeat since "skin of my teeth" is tied together with how she sings it (again hard to explain that lol) so a repeat would make sense. This one is also pretty easy to change cuz it would look like this

02:32:511 (3,4,1,2) - Here it might be a nice place to have a spinner starting at 02:32:511 - and ending at 02:34:571 - then deleting 1 and 2 so it acts as a break. It's a nice pause effect leading into the kiai. You can probably even leave the note at 02:36:117 - cos the bpm is pretty low so it doesn't show up during the spin and it acts as a nice note leading into the downbeat at 02:36:632 (1) -

02:40:753 (1,2) - Here for example could also be another 2/1 slider and note.

02:43:844 (4) - And this maybe two notes instead of a 1/1 slider as well

02:59:299 (2,3) - Similar to the point at 01:30:694 (1,2,3) this could be avoided for easier playability and maybe instead changed to a 2/1 slider and note or maybe (2) to become a 1/1 slider and then maybe (3) becomes two notes idk variety and stuffs u know

03:07:541 (3,4,5) - Same as above. Or this could also be a spinner instead since it leads into a small break.

03:24:025 (1,2) - This could be cute as a long slider as in a slider starting at 03:24:025 - and ending at 03:25:570 - maybe with a heart shape or something u know.

Consider AR5. It's still a pretty baby normal with low bpm so high AR isn't needed. Especially cuz the other diffs should also reduce them imo.

Might also wanna consider removing the custom whistles from 02:44:359 (4) - maybe use default for those instead at least. This one is more of a suggestion I suppose since you do that later on as well so up to you.

Damn those customs blend into the song it was harder to hear those missing ones :v

Use AR7 better. Low BPM and song is pretty easy to need anything higher.

00:11:620 (4) - Might wanna space this out more so it doesn't read like a triple. Maybe just like this.

00:18:316 (2) - This would play really well as two notes so you emphasize 00:18:574 - as a clickable object. Could even add a bit more distance to that note for emphasis if you want.

00:36:089 - 00:40:210 - Four seconds of 3/4 sliders is pretty boring even for a hard. Might wanna mix it up a bit. 00:38:665 (2) - Maybe change this to two 1/2 notes or something idk. Same for 00:39:180 (3) - This suggestion goes for the other parts where you do this like 00:39:180 (3) - 02:02:632 (1) - etc.

01:59:542 (2,3) - Since 02:00:572 - is pretty quiet in the music you could instead delete (3) and reduce the repeats on (2) by one then add a note at 02:00:314 - so it plays pretty well and adds a nice pause effect. Could look something like this

02:34:571 (3) - Could probably look a bit shapelier if you play around with it like this or better still this was just a quick thing ;v

03:26:343 - I feel spinner could start here isntead and end at 03:28:146 - leaving the other part to the outro. Feels pretty empty atm. This also applies for the other diffs.

[Light Insane]

Raise OD to 7. OD6 is baby od for a light insane :v

00:05:052 (3,4) - So a rhythm option you don't seem to like is using a 1/1 slider and then a note like this but it's so cool and deals with any polarity concerns as well. Consider adding more of these like 00:11:234 (4,5) - needs more and more and more :v

00:26:817 (1,2) - So an issue with this is the spacing is the same from (1) to (2) as it is between 00:28:105 (3,4) - except the first is 1/4 and this is 1/2. Doesn't read all that well. Harder to distinct them and since the map switches rhythm patterns constantly it's hard to keep up with. Consistency with these things is pretty important for readability. Can't really suggest something for these parts (there are more later on etc) so look out for them and consider reworking them to something that reads a bit better.

00:36:089 - NOOOo don't do this again for this diff

There are SO many more things you can do besides this. It's pretty boring but there's a lot going on with the drums and other ways to bring out the vocals aside from 3/4 slider spam.

For example 00:44:332 (1,2) - could be a note then triplet and note like this, or 00:46:392 (8,1) - could be three 1/2 notes etc. LOTS of possibilities. Switch it up a bit for this like you do in the rest of the map.

00:51:544 (1) - Remove finish and put it back on but only on the slider head (double click the slider head so it highlights red in the timeline like this so the finish is only on the head and not the whole slider.

01:50:527 (1) - 1/4 slider again after 01:49:497 (4,5,6) - is a bit too much. Change to just a note.

01:54:648 (2) - Same as above. No need to do this for added difficulty since it doesn't really add much to the song. Some people might call that overmapping (it's not necessarily since it's not an active object) but still better avoid this.

02:02:632 (1) - And again for this section do something else

02:36:117 (4) - Could have started at 02:35:988 - and added one more repeat to follow the vocals.

Overall it's not bad. The spread is heading in the right direction. You should tell hyperion to hitsound your diffs for you cuz they are VERY inconsistent and lots are missing. I could've suggested some but too much work not enough time and it might just need to be fully redone so it's consistent. The light insane could use a bit more variety and consistency with spacing also there was a lot of triple rhythm like 01:53:103 (2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3) - that could've been avoided as it doesn't add much to the song. Lots of potential to make a nice light insane without the need to add rhythm or 3/4 slider spam x_x

Fixed all the things you mentioned for easy, and hard. However, I didn't change one thing in the Light Insane difficulty, and here's why.

02:20:148 (1,2,3,4) - I didn't change this because tbh, it feels better this way. The plucks in this area are very upbeat compared to 02:22:208 (3) and I tried putting a slider to replace 02:20:148 (1,2,3,4) like you suggested, but it felt very plain. 02:22:208 (3) - works without being a short slider stream because of the vocals it emphasized.

Hyperion hasn't looked at the mod for his normal map yet, so I'll update this post when it's done if he decides to change anything.

So you use a LOT of 1/1 sliders. A lot...It's fine but that's pretty boring. This is also gonna be pretty tiring because players will be clicking and releasing a lot. 00:45:362 (3,4) - Here for example you could have a slider repeat on (3) since she sings this part a bit tied together (a bit hard to explain this). More importantly this plays like a 2/1 slider which gives new players a bit of a small clicking break. Here's an example screenshot but not the best example just to show you what I mean. fixed

01:20:391 (1,2) - Instead of these 1/2 notes starting the spinner here would work better since it would make the spinner longer so gives more time for players to pass the spin. fixed

01:30:694 (1,2,3) - These would work better as 1/1 instead of 3/2. For the most part you'd wanna avoid red ticks for easies unless it can be justified. Here for example these sliders sacrifice strong beats on the white ticks to follow the synth thing which is probably not the best thing to follow for this difficulty. Maybe for the later ones but you'd wanna keep it simple for these. fixed

01:38:937 (1,2,3,4) - Follow-up point you didn't do that 3/2 thing here so you'd wanna keep that consistent for newer players to follow. Removed the 3/2 pattern.

01:42:027 (4) - Oh and back to the point about variety this for example could work as two notes instead of another 1/1 slider. Would also be easy to play since it's followed by a spinner. fixed

01:51:300 (3,4) - Here's another example of a possible 2/1 slider with note since vocals are quiet at 01:51:815 - (sure drum plays but it's more about the player resting than it is about following every drum beat) fixed

01:55:421 (3,4) - Another thing that could be done for variety using 3/2 slider with repeats for example here at 01:56:193 - she says "be" from supposed to be so it could be a good way to have a repeat. Of course these things do mean changing some patterns around but trust me when I say it will be worth it. fixed

01:59:542 (3,4) - Also another pottential 1/2 slider with a repeat since "skin of my teeth" is tied together with how she sings it (again hard to explain that lol) so a repeat would make sense. This one is also pretty easy to change cuz it would look like this fixed

02:32:511 (3,4,1,2) - Here it might be a nice place to have a spinner starting at 02:32:511 - and ending at 02:34:571 - then deleting 1 and 2 so it acts as a break. It's a nice pause effect leading into the kiai. You can probably even leave the note at 02:36:117 - cos the bpm is pretty low so it doesn't show up during the spin and it acts as a nice note leading into the downbeat at 02:36:632 (1) - fixed. nice idea

02:40:753 (1,2) - Here for example could also be another 2/1 slider and note. fixed

02:43:844 (4) - And this maybe two notes instead of a 1/1 slider as well fixed

02:59:299 (2,3) - Similar to the point at 01:30:694 (1,2,3) this could be avoided for easier playability and maybe instead changed to a 2/1 slider and note or maybe (2) to become a 1/1 slider and then maybe (3) becomes two notes idk variety and stuffs u know fixed

Consider AR5. It's still a pretty baby normal with low bpm so high AR isn't needed. Especially cuz the other diffs should also reduce them imo.

02:03:147 (3) - Add clap to only the head. Currently it's added to the whole slider.

02:44:874 (1) - Shame you used the low sound as a whistle addition. Could've worked better as a drum-hitnormal but meh. Add a whistle to the head to get that custom hitsound sound here. Might also wanna consider removing the custom whistles from 02:44:359 (4) - maybe use default for those instead at least. This one is more of a suggestion I suppose since you do that later on as well so up to you.

00:36:089 - 00:40:210 - Four seconds of 3/4 sliders is pretty boring even for a hard. Might wanna mix it up a bit. 00:38:665 (2) - Maybe change this to two 1/2 notes or something idk. Same for 00:39:180 (3) - This suggestion goes for the other parts where you do this like 00:39:180 (3) - 02:02:632 (1) - etc.
This flow section is to emphasize the vocals. I won't change it to something different because it would go against how I want the map to be, and imo, I think this part is perfect the way it is.

01:59:542 (2,3) - Since 02:00:572 - is pretty quiet in the music you could instead delete (3) and reduce the repeats on (2) by one then add a note at 02:00:314 - so it plays pretty well and adds a nice pause effect. Could look something like this Fixed. Nice idea

02:34:571 (3) - Could probably look a bit shapelier if you play around with it like this or better still this was just a quick thing ;v I changed the shape a little bit.

03:26:343 - I feel spinner could start here instead and end at 03:28:146 - leaving the other part to the outro. Feels pretty empty atm. This also applies for the other diffs. It does feel empty, but I think pause right there in some difficulties is fine. If I get any ideas of what to do here in later mods as well, I'll consider changing it.

[Light Insane]

Raise OD to 7. OD6 is baby od for a light insane :v Fixed

00:05:052 (3,4) - So a rhythm option you don't seem to like is using a 1/1 slider and then a note like this but it's so cool and deals with any polarity concerns as well. Consider adding more of these like 00:11:234 (4,5) - needs more and more and more :v Not changing this because these 2 sliders already follow the vocals fine. Also, you're right. I don't like 1/1 sliders that much unless they fit somewhere and I can't do anything else with a section of a map

00:26:817 (1,2) - So an issue with this is the spacing is the same from (1) to (2) as it is between 00:28:105 (3,4) - except the first is 1/4 and this is 1/2. Doesn't read all that well. Harder to distinct them and since the map switches rhythm patterns constantly it's hard to keep up with. Consistency with these things is pretty important for readability. Can't really suggest something for these parts (there are more later on etc) so look out for them and consider reworking them to something that reads a bit better. Replaced 00:26:817 (1,2) with a 1/1 slider.

00:36:089 - NOOOo don't do this again for this diff There are SO many more things you can do besides this. It's pretty boring but there's a lot going on with the drums and other ways to bring out the vocals aside from 3/4 slider spam. Still not changing. I'll say it again.. this follows the vocals, and changing it would go against the point of having a flow section there.

For example 00:44:332 (1,2) - could be a note then triplet and note like this, or 00:46:392 (8,1) - could be three 1/2 notes etc. LOTS of possibilities. Switch it up a bit for this like you do in the rest of the map. I feel like this would be overmapping since the melodic rhythm in the back is very mellow, and it doesn't follow much, therefore, I won't be changing this.

00:51:544 (1) - Remove finish and put it back on but only on the slider head (double click the slider head so it highlights red in the timeline like this so the finish is only on the head and not the whole slider. Thanks for pointing this out. It's been fixed

01:50:527 (1) - 1/4 slider again after 01:49:497 (4,5,6) - is a bit too much. Change to just a note. I've played my map multiple times, and this part, or the general style of the parts between kiais, is perfectly fine. If I change it to just a note, it would feel empty compared to how it was before. So, not changing this either.

01:54:648 (2) - Same as above. No need to do this for added difficulty since it doesn't really add much to the song. Some people might call that overmapping (it's not necessarily since it's not an active object) but still better avoid this. I don't think I'm overmapping, and I'm not doing it to make the map really hard. I think this style works fine, and I like it tbh.

02:02:632 (1) - And again for this section do something else Following the vocals again, and I want this to be a flow section, so not changing.

02:36:117 (4) - Could have started at 02:35:988 - and added one more repeat to follow the vocals. Feels like it's too much, so I'm keeping it the way it is.

Overall it's not bad. The spread is heading in the right direction. You should tell hyperion to hitsound your diffs for you cuz they are VERY inconsistent and lots are missing. I asked, and I don't think he'd mind doing it, but I like how light my difficulties feel, and I don't really want to use the same loud hitsounds he's using. I'd like to hitsound my maps the way I want to. I could've suggested some but too much work not enough time and it might just need to be fully redone so it's consistent. This map doesn't need redone. I'll take mods for it, and fix things that need to be fixed, but I'm not redoing it for the sake of making it more consistent so it fits the ranking system just right, and no one complains. The light insane could use a bit more variety and consistency with spacing also there was a lot of triple rhythm like 01:53:103 (2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3) - that could've been avoided as it doesn't add much to the song. That's the style of the map. I wanted to make something different, so this is what happened, and I don't think it needs changed. Lots of potential to make a nice light insane without the need to add rhythm or 3/4 slider spam x_x [color=#4040FF][b]lol. Again, it's part of the map, it follows the vocals fine, it flows really well, and won't change it. Sorry you don't like it.

The reason I'm placing so many 1/1 sliders is because I wanted an easy difficulty, but I needed to stay under Hyperion's Normal map. Also, I'm taking advantage of making shapes that cover some beats like what a reverse slider would do, but tbh, I'll go back and see if I can change a few of them.

There is no rule in the Ranking Criteria suggesting that DS must be the same in Normal diffs - the reason for the discrepancy is because of patterns like 00:23:210 (2,3) and 02:34:571 (1,1) with larger spacings between them. 1.3x DS here would put these objects a singificant distance apart, and the player may be unable to react to them. In this way, I am helping ease the player into the map rather than throwing large spacings out right from the start. This should not be confusing to a beginner as it is done consistently throughout the map
