Okay, here we go. Don't feel too overly criticised or anything, I just want to help `L_`
[ General][ Kantan]
- 1st of all. Background's resolution is awkward. Find another one with 1366x768 or resize to 1280x720 preferably not perfect , but fixed to nearest solution
- Remove second Timing point (red line). It's the first one that it's mistimed. Select it and move it by -20ms (offset should be 576) ok
- Do not forget to resnap notes after correctly placing the first Timing Point (red line). Can be done by holding Ctrl + A and selecting a note with the mouse and move it a bit earlier so it fits to the ticks Ok
- Also, do not forget to resnap all Inherited Points (green lines) by selecting all of them and moving by -20ms ^
- I also found it quite weird that some difficulties have a kiai time and others have different kiai times. Fix and unify all of them It often happen in Taiko No Tatsujin so its ok
- 00:08:127 - Preview point should be snapped here Ok
- Uncheck Widescreen Support in all difficulties OK
- 00:00:576 - Add a green line with reduced volume here, you must map the start in all difficulties OK
All of that ^^^^ is unrankable stuff, so make sure to fix it^ refer to oni part
- HP3 is too low for a song of this length. HP should be 6+ (No, HP 6+ is too harsh for new players)
- I highly suggest not doing SV changes in a Kantan. Remove all inherits (green lines) that imply SV change, since they'd be pointless OK
- 01:34:518 - this green line should be snapped to 01:34:405 - OK but at 01:34.410
- Remember to put the green line at 00:00:576 - with reduced volume (40% or so) and map the beginning 55%
- 00:22:901 (10,12,14,16) - Highly suggest staying away from offbeats. Stick to the main rhythm in Kantan. Like this:
Rhythm is weird if I stick to the rhythm at that time- As I said earlier, remove all green lines since SV changes are not adviced in these difficulties ok
- 00:51:097 - 01:19:969 - You mapped the entire song on 4/1 and provided enough 8/1 breaks. Why this sudden change? Remove in between notes to maintain the main 4/1 snap. Notes such as 00:51:999 (22,24,26) - , aka every second note (not gonna find them all) only did it to every 4 notes
- 01:19:729 - What is this inherit (green line) doing here? Deleted
- Add some variety at the kiai. You could even add short 2/1 or even 1/1 bursts, and then right after provide a 8/1 break. ??
- REMEMBER TO PUT THE SAME KIAI IN ALL DIFFICULTIES
[ Futsuu][ Muzukashii]
- HP is too low. 6+ would work same as kantan
- Map the beginning, once again same as 3rd pt
- 00:08:691 - 00:10:495 - 00:12:300 - 00:14:104 - 00:15:909 - 00:17:713 - 00:19:518 - 00:21:322 - Notes should be added here to increase density and differentiate from Kantan (also follow a main 2/1 snap with some 1/1 and 4/1 breaks) OK
- 00:22:225 (9,10,11) - Patterns like these sound awkward, and you repeat them all over the place until 00:33:728 - . I'd stick to the main rhythm since it sounds better and honestly it's easier to do OK
- 00:33:390 (25,26) - Sounds awkward to play, I'd stick with main rhythm like this:
- 00:38:804 (32) - Like ^, it sounds awkward to play and doesn't fit the main rhythm. Move to 00:38:916 - and change to k
- 00:42:413 (37) - ^
- 00:46:022 (42) - ^
- 00:49:631 (47) - ^ All moved but not changing to k
- 00:55:157 (57) - Highly suggest removing to provide a break BPM is not that high so nope
- 00:57:864 (62) - This note should be removed as it doesn't follow the rhythm you try to use and thus breaks consistency and flow
- 01:01:473 (69) - ^ OK
- 01:05:533 - 01:19:969 - Too overdone. Not a single break in 14 seconds. Remove lots of notes here again BPM not high so these note arent overdone, but killed 92,108
- 01:30:796 - 01:34:405 - Should be mapped with notes and save the shaker (spinner) for the end part
^
- 01:33:277 (1) - This slider overlaps the other one. Remove it OK
- 00:22:789 (36) - Definetely fits better as a k Nah, it fits the music tune
- 00:26:398 (43) - ^ same
- 00:30:007 (50) - ^ same
- 00:33:616 (57) - ^ same
- 00:57:638 (123,124,125) - Avoid these kind of patterns in a Muzu. Change to ddk to keep consistency. Also, this part is really well mapped ok and ty
- 01:02:826 (140,141,142,143,144,147,148,149,150,151) - Strongly advice staying away from 5-note patterns in muzukashii Taiko no tatsujin are raising muzu overall difficulties so this isnt a problem
- 01:19:969 - 01:30:570 - zzzzzzz all kiai dons? Not cool bro. You could change some notes, like 01:20:646 (184,187) - to k's, as well as every offbeat in the kiai Tried , not quite good but accept
- 01:29:894 (207,208,209,210,211,212) - Should be kkk kkk to fit the pitch more and provide some variety
I'm skipping "Inner Muzukashii" since I think that difficulty is not needed at all ok,,,, finding other modder to do so lol
[ Oni]Snapping problem, fixed
- 01:33:954 - I must remind you to unify ALL GREEN LINES in ALL DIFFICULTIES Not Perfect but accept
- 00:08:014 (3) - All 3rd notes should be k's until 00:18:954 - . You can vary a bit too, alternating between ddkd and dkkd OK
- 00:22:225 - These patterns sound better like this OK
- 00:24:029 (40,41,42,43,44,45,46) - I don't really know what you're mapping here, but it sounds really awkward. I suggest remapping this part Remapped
- Same for everything until 00:34:856 - ^
- 00:34:856 (82,83,84,85,86) - This is not a good start for the new rhythm you're using ok deleted
- 00:35:758 - 00:57:864 - not a single break for 22 entire seconds. That is some over the top mapping duhh. Remove some notes to provide breaks. But remember to do it consistently (aka if you remove every 3rd tick, then remove after 6th, 9th etc.). Also, it's very boring to play since it's always the same. Variate a bit on the patterns, you'll see they sound as good! ok
- 01:12:751 - 01:19:631 - No, no and more no. A 7 second stream in a difficulty that's supposed to be the bridge between Muzukashii and Oni is just plain unacceptable. Remove notes and keep the rhythm consistent Cut the stream and ok
- 01:28:992 - 01:30:683 - Dons don't fit this pitch at all. Consider changing some notes to k OK
- 01:34:518 (1,2,3,4) - This ending is really awkward. Try this instead
[ Inner Oni]OK
- For the first part, I'll just state that you're being overly repetitive and that makes the map dull and unfun to play (even tho it fits the song). Consider adding variation until 00:21:661 - since it's always the same OK
- Same goes for the part until 00:34:179 - Ik but cant find any pattern to fix that
- 00:38:465 - 00:39:367 - You map it like that, but then you suddenly change to a complete different rhythm in 00:42:074 - . Why is that? added a bit variables to fix that
- 01:18:164 - This 1/6 is not fitting at all. First of all there is no 1/6 sound. And second, you may want to make the map more challenging, but this is not the way. A long stream like that doesn't fit that pace at all. I'd shorten it to shorter 1/6 mixed with 1/4s (which is even more challenging), as long as they fit the music OK
- 01:34:518 (2,3) - swap these 2 and change 01:34:743 (4) - to d
I know it is your first map and it was expected to have flaws, but I haven't got that big amount of time to fix all and every single one of them. Find more modders, slowly increase the quality of your map bit by bit, and you'll see in the end how pleasing it is to have a well structured and consistent beatmap. Cm: Welp I just want some ranked maps that are own by me (U may feel im selfish but thats what i think)
Peace out o/

Spread stands bad...
You have to make Kantan and Futsuu harder. and you should make Muzukashii easier than now.
check this about taiko spread.
now your map's spread
-Kantan 4/1 + 2/1 (3/2)
-Futsuu 2/1 + 1/1 (3/4)
-Muzukashii 1/1 + 1/2 with 1/4
-Oni 1/2 + 1/4
(You can understand the Futsuu and Muzukashii's difficultly gap is so huge. or Muzukashii and Oni are same...)
and if you can read Japanese. You can understand spread more by here (tasuke912's spreadsheet)
thx Prophecy :3Prophecy wrote:

OD is so high... Cant you be down to OD 6 or 6.5 for DT player...? ok
1/6 overmap...? i think using overmap many times is not good... <- But the notes match the song effect so I guess it is ok

Hi, from my mod queue.
Sorry for the late post

k = kat, blue note
D = don finisher, big red note
K = kat finisher, big blue notemodGeneral
SR gap between Kantan and Futsuu and the other diffs is a bit bigger. Not sure how much of an issue that is, just noting it for now.
At some points its sort of hard to tell what exactly is being mapped to, because of the song. SR is not what BN/TNA concerned, spread is the most important thing to be concerned
Muzukashii
The breaks in the starting section are even longer than those in the Futsuu. Maybe add d to 00:08:696 and 00:10:500 and the other corresponding points. You could also add a bit more variation to the starting section like in Mrriichi's diffs, but it's understandable if you're keeping it simple because of the 1/4 doubles. Mrriichi and I have different mapping style so this is not a problem I concerned
Oni
00:43:433 (187) - I think this is an unrankable finisher (not at the end of 1/4 pattern). The rest was nice. OK
Nothing I found in the higher diffs, except in the Ura Oni I'm not exactly sure how fitting the 1/6 are.
Hope it helps
