About the skin talk you guys had earlier, I'm having problems with mania key bindings not working in cutting edge (b20141212.2)
Doesn't matter if it's downloaded skin or default skin, if I define the bindings in ini file or ingame.

this is the skin.ini file that osu itself generates:

Also I noticed something strange, 4 Keys bindings are placed after 5 Keys bindings and if I try to change it, the game just changes it back, not that it matters at all, just funny observation.

EDIT: discovered some aditional details.
When starting the game, the config is loaded correctly, but the osu!mania layout settings page is just not showing your actual configuration, and therefore if you open the configuration and doesn't change the fake config to your actual config (even though that's what you currently have) then the fake config will be written to disk.

This is actually an old issue not directly related to cutting edge changes. I've never been able to replicate it on a consistent basis so there isn't much to go on to point the devs in the right direction.

Play taiko mod /Edit Taiko mode (I don't know what triggers it exactly)
Then edit a Standard mode
The colors of the map are Red/Blue, and the sliders are the same colors as the Taiko skin (I think you need to have Taiko skin available and enable for playing Taiko)

Like I stated in my post (t/265937) the new sorting (with same songs), taiko below the normal diffs, is very odd, I think this needs to be changed.

drum drum mentioned this is intended behaviour, but I still find this very odd, read the thread for more info on this.

I'm sorry if drum drum is right, and we just need to get used to this new behaviour

Okay this bug is going on in a weird way
When playing, it also shows the 'new' colors
When editing, it also shows the 'new' colors
When restarting, it still shows the 'new' colors
I don't really mind it, as red/blue are nice combo colors, but it would be nice if this can get fixed

1) Are they in the top 50? You should be able to watch them if they are.
2) Disabled for Christmas.

Can't replicate on the latest cutting edge with the default skin. Can you try with default skin and if it works, pass me your skin.ini.

Similar bug here. It seems that whenever the Taiko skin is loaded (a play of a converted or original taiko map in my case), the skin.ini file from the current skin gets replaced by the skin.ini from the Taiko Skin.

The scoreboard used to save the replays for the top 40 scores only. That was changed quite a while ago, however the replays past position 40 are still lost. The score you're trying to watch is very old, so it probably fell below the 40 line at some point, causing it to not save with any replay.

New issue. osu!mania editor have strange skinning (when using custom skin with custom notes) after quick-exiting the test.
Also this could be happen sometimes, especially when system lags.

the notes are just smaller lines and not correctly stretched.

EDIT: It may has been just this one time since after restarting osu they showed normally

Instead mania-stage-light is drawn over notes instead of behind and mania-stage-bottom is drawn behind the keys instead of above.

I recently started to try cutting-edge, and found that this yellow stripe on the bottom is blocking the progress bar during song breaks. The yellow bar does disapear when actually playing a song, but if it could go away for the entire duration of the song, that would be much better.

Actually in some cases in game-play, I saw the yellow bar show itself in game-play and it suppose to be hidden when in game-play and show during breaks. Usually I can replicate in CE when I am playing a song with NC or DT in CTB mode and the game ends up like a rushed messed.

Also is it just me or NC got more jittery in the CE Build?

I haven't noticed anything wrong with NC on Cutting Edge... I play this mod literally all the time... Even today I've noticed no differences in it's proformance on AR8 + NC, AR9 + NC, and (Yes I play this sometimes XD) AR10 + NC... I haven't tried anything below AR8 on NC in this past week so IDK about that...

I think I found a bug with the new osu! updater on the latest (20141218.5cutting-edge).

If you have osu! open and you relaunch the osu!.exe you get this screen : http://puu.sh/dCdvT.jpg . If you then close the updater and reopen osu! you get this message : http://puu.sh/dCdzK.jpg (Sorrry, osu! doesn't know how to deal with this filetype... (-go))

(I know this is a minor issue and probably has to do with a temp file the updater creates, but it's not completely intended behaviour)

(btw, Sorry is missspelled with three R's, I think this is intended, but I thought I'd also mention that.)

Issue: switching to any game mode does not make the song selection show local ranks for that mode.

I switched to osu!mania mode, but the letter grades I achieved in taiko mode are still showing.

The mania editor always uses the default mania sprites, so this is not a new issue. Post your skin/skin.ini just in case.

Ever since the latest update, I've been experiencing a lot of problems with the beatmap editor. It's unusable. It's lagging, crashing, freezing, stuttering, slowing down, etc.

I've never had that problem ONCE before.

My osu! will try to update, confirm it's up to date, throw the logo as normal onto the screen, and then crash while trying to start up.

Not sure what's causing this.

Also songs don't appear to install either after downloading from the site.

I have an pretty serious issues.

My osu! mania skin is being messed up sometimes.
First is the hitlightning.
Last day is the long note.

Basically a part of the skin is changed to default itself.

DirectX or OpenGL? OpenGL has a few problems right now which might be causing this. I cannot replicate with your skin. Likewise, there's no chance the sprites are being loaded from your custom skin.

don't know if it's only cuttingedge but...on the editor the note deselects after applying a hitsound

1) select a note
2) press the hitsounds button

3)the note deselects

Oh and one more thing...

When i click on the spinner button it add the beginning of the spinner there o.o

The move objects in editor doesn't seem to work
Whenever I click on it, (the coordinates thing) deselects the objects, thus nothing can be changed that way

Edit: Actually, almost all things trigger the deselection of notes, even applying hitsounds (Those will be added though)

There isn't yet fix lagging in Editor.

every 5~25 mins in Editor, fps drop even using vsync. (60fps vsync - drop to 20 fps and back to 60 fps or keep 40~50 fps persistingly.)
and after 30~50 mins, fps drop is more terribly.

but during song play, happened fps drop.

It appears (at least for me) in parts of the map when you could see a bunch of objects (streams, for example), after this "lag", fps dropping for something about 80% of the normal one (from ~300 to ~60 in my case), but it changes "normally", like it should be (i mean that fps becaming smaller at the moments with big objects amount, becaming bigger at the moments when appears the part with low objects amount, etc. But it still 20% of FPS what i actually should get).

yeh, it more appears in taiko maps. and more fps dropping if u playback song or play song.

The videos are now alligned to the left side of osu! (for some reason) and it's driving me insane since there are maps where a video+SB are used and it just makes no damn sense!

Edit: Not sure if this was already addresed or not - the songs in Song Select menu when finished instead of starting at 0:00, starts somewhere where it would start playing after selecting the map

Friend panel takes a very long time to update userpanels when adding/removing friends.

Removing them leaves a void.

When I open some skinned map in the editor or start to play it and then close it, I'm getting applied skin elements from the map to my main skin.

And when I select another map after it, these elements disappear.
But when I open another skinned map, elements changes again, to new ones.
And if I open and close non-skinned map after it, I get my main elements from my skin.

I think there is a small problem with video placement. Found a new issue while messing with my desktop.

- Replication Steps
1. Start a random replay to watch. Any
2. Alt-tab (or you can use the Boss-key too) quickly back to desktop before the replay starts
3. Go back to the osu!.

Soon, you'll see the storyboard, toggles, and the likes don't appear. After finishing the replay or escaping, shiz goes loose and certain parts of UI like the cookie goes away, userpanels, and the chat console. Anyone else want to try to see if they can replicate this? Oh and keep in mind, was currently in window-wed when I did this and sometimes osu! won't even come back up in most cases when I quickly minimize it.

Oh and PS. You can do the same replication steps to get the UI to its original state but the Hide Chat button will still be missing nonetheless
