It depends on the characteristic of the song but unless it's a vocal-driven song instruments are usually more reliable and easier to produce consistent patterns with.
In many cases you can still somewhat include the respective other part as well. The only things you need to ensure is that it is transparent of the player which part of the music they should focus on to go with your map. It's more of a prioritisation thing "only mapping instruments".
