Hey there, just released my first taiko map. I submitted my work at a couple of modding queues.
And now what? If i want my map to be ranked, doesn't it need to be hyped up 5/5? and have people play it?
How do i push my map into qualification, how do i make it go noticed?

In order to get your map ranked, you need 5 hypes, yes. But you can get them easily by asking some friends to hype your map. The more difficult part of the ranking process is finding mods and BNs (beatmap nominators). You already posted your map in some modding queues which is good. Once you have gathered enough mods and you think your map is ready to be ranked, you can try asking BNs to mod/check it. They are able to nominate your map, and if you have 2 nominations, the map will be qualified. You can find the current taiko nominators here: https://osu.ppy.sh/help/wiki/People/The_Team/Beatmap_Nominators
It is usually a good idea to look at their userpage because they often include some "rules" you should follow when requesting a mod from them. For more information, read this: https://osu.ppy.sh/help/wiki/Submission/Beatmap_Ranking_Procedure

Good luck with your map :3c

Thank you so much! that was very informative of you, really helpful!

By asking a mod/BN, i need to private message a BN which asks him to check out my beatmap and have his opinion on it?

It depends, some BNs accept private messages and some don't, you need to look at their profile to see if they prefer forum PMs, in-game messages, discord PMs or posting in their modding queue. Of course you always need to check if they are currently accepting requests or not, they will usually have either "open" or "closed" on their userpage
