Problem details:When i go in the edit menu or if i edit a map, osu become a black screen and i have to relaunch the game to play. Only osu! is a black screen, i can still move in the game.

Edit: It also does that when i change to windowed or to full screen

Edit2: For some reason, i can go in the edit mod without having a black screen in windowed.

Used skin : - YUGEN-

Same Problem i have tryed in all client versions that are there.

I open Streamlabs and can see the complet osu window in the editor but not on my actual monitoring only in streamlabs

Edit: Osu coes in windowed mode wehen we enter the Editor.

for me it gives me a black screen when i go in windowed mode, when i restart the game and try to go to the editor it works, but not from fullscreen

While it doesn't help your situation, I believe the reason this behaviour is being triggered is because the Editor forces Fullscreen (Borderless) So it could be some kind of driver/other issue causing the transition to not quite work as intended. But it seems at the very least you know of a way to enter the editor and have it work correctly.

Hi, it's been 2 weeks I noticed I had the same issue. Using compatibility mode, the thing stops, but compatibility mode is anoying, so, have any of you clues on a way to fix it. (yeah, I noticed I'm quite late, but maybe you've had the time to fix it)
(+excuse my bad english c:)
(+edit) in widowed mode I don't have the issue, but Fullscreen no compatibility mode is still best to play :c

Most people seemed to be able to fix this issue by either reinstalling their graphics drivers or rolling them back to an older version (pre-April 2019). If you haven't tried either of those things, please do.

I rechecked today and it actually worked perfectly without doing anything.
Thank you for all your help you've been giving.

I found a solution
If you press Ctrl + alt + del and then Esc, osu goes back to normal

I found the solution is to make sure you are rendering at native resolution

FIX:
When you press the edit tab it gets black.
Press ctrl+altgr+delete and then press the activity manager button and it should pop up working perfect.

This is not a fix, it's just a temporary solution.
