Kantan]
General- You have many 2/1 notes which is rather untypical for a Kantan. In general I recommend to use sometimes 4/1, e.g. by deleting notes like 00:38:702 (55,57) - since beginner has to rest. For some that is already much.
- Another thing is to try having not many different spacings, e.g. 1/1 + 3/4 00:19:065 (24,25,26) -, reasons are known to you.
- Consider having SV 1.20. Not a must. But seems to be a bit fast.
- Oh, where is the kiai?( 01:24:707 ~ 01:46:041 )
Notes~similiar cases I won't mention thrice~00:04:398 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - d d, k k, d d is what I suggest. Having already at the beginning alternaiting pattern is in my opinion questionable.
00:09:232 (9,12) - Spacing is a problem here. Confuses beginner and etc.. You can just delete them and keep k d here. If you used my previous point, you would have a evolution of pattern from monoton to alternaiting patterns which is in my opinion good. dd,kk,dd has prepared the beginner for such constalations and then kd,kd,... appear.
00:12:732 (16) - You can keep it as kat, but consider having a don here. Altough it might fit to the music sheet and etc., at 00:12:898 the sounds are becoming deep. So consider it please.
00:16:732 (21) - Due to similiar reason I mentioned before. Also simplifying it for beginners -as I said above- would be reasonable.
00:18:065 (23) - Just in case the "music-sheet" argument appears, this is should be rather a don.
00:19:065~00:22:065 - Instead of having 3/4 you could just continue with the patterns you had before.
00:24:732 (33) - don for the beat, not kat for the higher pitch. The beat is stronger here and should be mapped due to this.
00:32:035 (43,45) - Recommending to delete these notes. You had 1/2 with alternaiting notes on a 180 BPM song which should be enough for difficulty. Give the beginner some time to rest, in the kiai you can use more notes afterwards.
00:36:035 (50,51,52) - d d k? You had k k d before, so having a similiar pattern again would be at least considerable.
00:38:702 (55,57) - As above.
01:05:707 (93,94) - d d ?
01:08:374 (97) - You better have to delete this note so the beginner can consider the up coming 3/4 better.
01:14:041 (106,107,108,109) - Instead of different spacings and more notes, you could have less notes and emphasize the coming part with the (106) as Big-Don.
01:17:207 (111) - Deleting the note would be fine as well. Dosen't change the quality of the map or so. Makes it just easier for beginner(same for similiar cases).
01:48:707 (165,166,167) - Considering the songs sounds, it should be D K D. Nice alternate between the other patterns and good connection to 01:54:041 (171,172,173,174) - .
02:02:041~02:04:707 - Why having kats here? The beat is so strong in this part that you should rather follow it instead of keep following the background sound.
02:05:041n (x) - If you changed previous suggestion you could add here a d as well...
02:06:707, 02:08:041, 02:09:374 - ...and delete these notes. In my opinion it fits in this way better together and makes a connection to previous similiar map-sections.
02:10:374 (1) - Well, not sure if spinner really has to end at 02:12:624. Could be as well at 02:12:707. But not a must of course.
[
Futsuu]
General- Oh, where is the kiai?( 01:24:707 ~ 01:46:041 )
- You should cut some pattern constalations in the kiai. It is too much for a Futsuu. Patterns are overall already tricky, so give player some more rest moments.
Notes00:06:565 (9) -
Does it really require to have the note here? In my opinion it works without as well, since you didn't mapped to the 3/4 parts before from 00:03:398 to 00:06:065. So this note is rather an distraction in my opinion since it has nothing to do with the beat-following patterns you have.
00:06:732 (x) - You could have an note instead, kat.
00:09:232 (16) - As above(same for similiar cases).
00:12:065 (23) - Making this note to don might be a good idea. Fits good to up coming 00:13:732 (28,29) - notes.
00:31:702 (73,77) - Pattern is really long for a Futsuu. Consider deleting these notes.
00:38:368 (93,97) - ^
00:51:368 (132,133,134,135) - Note (132) should be the last note of this section as Big-Don.
01:23:374 (212) - don might be better.
01:24:374 (215) -
Delete this note to have a shorter pattern constalation.01:27:041 (224,225) -
^01:29:707 (233) -
^01:37:707 (258,259) -
^01:40:374 (267) -
^01:46:041 (284) - D ?
[
Muzukashii]
General- Oh, where is the kiai?( 01:24:707 ~ 01:46:041 )
- Some patterns like 01:42:374~01:46:207 are really long and should be cut. For a Muzukashii this is much when considering having sometimes 1/4.
Notes00:06:398 (11) - Move to 00:06:565 as you did before?
00:09:065 (22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30) - I suggest this pattern:
00:10:565 - Afterwards this can be made:
00:16:398 (56) - Delete this note for consistency with previous parts.
00:37:535 (153,154,155,156,157,158) - I'm fine with oox in a Muzukashii,
but not sure about putting them together. Please consider this.
01:22:041~01:24:041 -
I recommend to use d k d k d k... patterns.01:42:374~01:46:207 - How about that, follows the actual sound way better and emphasizes it as well:
02:12:374 (383,384,385,386) - Not sure about this, just saying.
[
Oni]
00:37:535 (208,209,210,211) -
This isn't 1/6 even if it sounds like one. These are two beats which have something like an echo. Up coming timeline at 00:37:702 is one. Note (211). So make it as ddk pattern instead.00:52:708~01:14:041 - Let the background sound mapping begin!
01:22:041 -
These kats are really doubtfull. The right usage of them should be kdddkdddkddd....
01:33:041 (286,287) - move these notes one1/4 backwards and make pattern 01:32:874 as kkd one?
01:34:124 - untypical to cut a stream like that.
01:55:124~01:55:707 - I think the whole section here is missplaced. two-plets are placed on blue and red lines which is really uneven.
02:13:374 -
dkdkdkdkHey, I like the Oni overall.
Well, I have to say that all difficulties lack a bit of consistency. So far they are mapped okay, but the transition from one to another pattern / section could be better. First you map to the beat, then you do it for the song it-self and suddenly you switch to background related sounds which makes some pattern sound really awkward. I'm not sure if you used any music sheets for this, but in your current case this dosen't help to explain why you switched the tackled soundings. The switch from sound to sound is even different in stanzas. Please try next time not to do such moves.
We are experienced mappers, but there are some things which we just can't do in Taiko and you know that. As for example switching that often between a songs soundings.
-> After playing the Oni, I think I know how you could avoid this next time. Just avoid to map to unsignificant soundings and it should probably work fine.
Have some examples:
Muzukashii: 01:03:874 (58,59,60,61,62,63,64,65) - beat -> song itself
Muzukashii: 01:10:041 (84,85,86,87,88,89,90,91,92,93,94,95) - background
Muzukashii: 01:12:707 (99,100,101,102,103,104,105,106,107,108) - transition at 107,108 is awkward.
Oni: 00:52:708~01:14:041 - Let the background sound mapping begin!

This mapset is nice overall ~
Should be ready to rank :3
It could be ranked, but for now having some more mods wouldn't really hurt.
