did you try changing audio offset?
Also how does making scroll speed faster not make you hit later?

You should adjust hit position on maps you can FC, 'cus if the patterns are too difficult for you, hitting early/late is completely normal until you get comfortable with the patterns.
If the scroll speed is too fast, you will press buttons early to try to keep up.

When scroll speed is too fast, I hit late. Not everyone will hit early to compensate, because when the speed is too fast, you might not have enough time to read it, and reading too slowly will result in late hits due to the delay from late reading
