How to make a diy tablet cover?

My tablet is xp pen g430 and I want to make a diy cover for it so that not only will it be stylish but it will also save my pen nibs from worning out, you guys have any ideas how?

I tried making a cover once and it was made from a cutout plastic envelope but it didn't worked out.
