I've already done this before, but when I have the trail, it's unrepeatitive, so there is a trail, but I can see the single dots, I just want the default trail but yellow.

You need to have a cursormiddle.png. if you want exactly the default cursortrail you should download the default skin template (its listed in the pinned important guides and threads post), copy the cursortrail and cursormiddle files and recolour the cursortrail
