...yeah. The majority of the jumps placed felt horrible. This difficulty felt like it was made hard because you wanted it hard instead of making it fit the music. The biggest disappointments were the really boring and bland choruses. The giant stream at the end was pretty lame too. Where is that in the music?

I think you're talking about the overJumps ... yeah. the diff is 'Red' light for the red fruits.. i can delete that. but i can't make the diff more ''funny''.. for various 'x' persons now ctb is bored.. Jumps? what more.. hyper dashes?. i will take the Opinions/Mods of various CtB Players. Not mappers. Because.. if the problem are ''The diff are bored and don't follow the rhythm''.. i only can try change some stuff for make the diff more funny for the Players. But the rhythm.. men pls.

First play, the song is not that hard, I'll mod it to change some stupid and senseless jumps, and also yes, the chorus must be better, but the song is not like you mention, you're not a ctb player to judge it anyways.

So wait, you agree with me, and yet still try and set aside what I say because I'm not "skilled enough"? Just because you are a high level player doesn't mean that others can make accurate judgements on a map. I'm assuming when you said "song" you meant "map". And remember: just because you can play it doesn't mean that the map is good. Try to cater your map to the larger public, not just high-end players. If you alienate your audience to only the high end spectrum, you'll end up with the same problem Taiko has right now in terms of player skill.

The way you're taking this so far makes me wary of dealing with any of your judgements for CtB.

Yes, I agree with you, but still you're not the correct guy to jugde a ctb map, any other ctb player will say that the map is Good and just need some changes. The map is not shit as you said.

Tell me -why- the map is good. So far from what I've seen, there are inappropriate jumps riddled throughout the map and plain badly mapped chorus sections. Both of which you've agreed on. How is this a good map then? Go work your supposed expertise in this field of CtB on the mapper and see how you can help him improve it. Show that you're capable of actually helping instead of just provoking.

Not depend if the diff is good or horrible... what is a CtB Map.. is only a Straight Standar diff.. imo.. always imo.. Men. Garven i know you're talking about the Jumps. But that is your argument? and eldnl, thanks friend. The CtB Maps atm are only Jumps, jumps, jumps.. because the CatchTheBeat don't have Streams.. well.. what do you waiting in this map? Don't look the Cartography. And yeah.. not only the ''Good'' CtB Players can give opininons here.. Because the CtB Maps are a mistery when the map is good or bad. and this is reflected in the Difficulty of the map. For some people:
More Hard: More funny Or Idiot.
More Easy: More funny Or Idiot.
Garven. If you want. you can put a mod. Pictures, etc. But don't put a opinion without the Argument. This is to help improve the map... and not only give bad or goods Words about the Diff.
Btw.. i mapped the Diff symmetrically. I discovered the ''limits'' of Jumps. for make this more hard. And i think I exceeded a little.. xd

The map is funny, isn't that the point? And also, who is provoking, the guy who said "everything is shit here"or the guy who said "this is good, just need some fixes"......
Anyways, I'll do the mod now, because I was in my phone and I didn't it yesterday because I had no enough time.

Dax: Think about the pacing in which you use these jumps. You don't have to have a jump every single beat. Use jumps where there is an emphasis in the music. And don't go trying to look for every single possible spot for an emphasis either - that will generally ruin the pacing of the map and feel disingenuous to the music that you are trying to represent. For me, when I looked at your map, it felt like you were simply trying too hard to make every possible spot in the song a jump instead of making smoother moving parts to a less-intense phrase. I speak this in a more general sense because pointing out individual patterns tends to make people only fix that one pattern and not look at the entire picture.

Sorry for the misunderstanding then, I was modding the difficulty an hour ago, probably now it's a lot better, let's wait for dax.

tl;dr I want to give the most unbiased opinion, based on my experience of mapping/modding CTB stuff.

The map itself feels upside down... where the easiest parts are placed on kiai times, and the most extream ones in the non-kiai ones. That was my first impression.

Also... 00:10:187 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - This pattern doesn't make sense here. It'd be better to be where 00:14:758 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) is.

Kiai parts are just... too lame to be mapped like that. Players are waiting to crash their keyboards (well... not that much) when those parts are being played.

01:29:068 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This Hdash spam doesn't make any sense imo. That mapping could've been more original.

From 01:43:900 (1) to Kiai #2 beginning: ^

02:10:042 (1,2,3,4,5) - It's ok if you follow the vocals there, but at least you could've filled the gap with 4 1/2 notes more.

The last 1/8 broken stream doesn't really fit there, to be honest.

Don't give kudosu to this post. I only wanted to give some constructive criticism to Dax, so he can improve his CTB maps in the future. In my honest opinion, this one is far away to get ranked... though it can be played just for fun/HDash practice.

It's all part of the learning process. All mappers go through this, be it osu! or taiko difficulties. Just keep at it and hopefully we'll get a cool map out of it. :3

The second offset should be using 7/4 time signature, but in [Easy] it's 4/4, in [Normal] it's 6/4. (hope i didn't miss others, you'd better to check it agian...)

To be honest, the difficulty is not good, need a lot of work, I modded it on IRC but dax didn't anything (or most probably he uploaded another version), anyways, the ctb diff is not ready.

Just wanted to drop in to say that

02:38:757 ~ end - Better use 1/2 notes instead of 1/4, the drum beat is certainly 1/2 and the hitnormals don't add as much as they ruin the sounding of the map in this part. Consider it. Other than this, love this diff, so fun to play yet not insanely difficult.

The diff looks much better than the 1st time I tested it. I'll make a quick mod tomorrow and find another modder as well... I think it still can be polished a little bit more.
