Hi guys, my 6th beatmap if I'm still able to count... I feel like I'm getting stupid lately... WHATEVER!
Here, one of the greatest songs in history "How to Save a Life"
I submitted it because I'm gonna add difficulties (made by mrtn) and sounds and stuff.

EDIT1: Took DawnII's timing and added mrtn's difficulty (with some minor changes that include one beat and the timing)
EDIT2: Something about the timing was wrong. Fixed that. And "Larto's How to Save a life" now is mapped until the first second break. completely! It's not as easy as you would expect it, so watch out!
EDIT3: Fixed some of the issues MaxwellDemon had with this map. I'll explain in an extra post why not all of them :P
EDIT4: Ignore my post, I fixed all of the issues. It looks worse now, but at least people won't complain :P

Its already been suggested that you shouldn't map before the drum beat. If you want to follow that suggestion, heres what i believe to be the timing.

BPM: 122

Offset: 24,072

Edit: Because the piano is in time, and the accents fall upon beats, I believe you CAN map before the drum beat. In that case:

BPM: 122

Offset: 430

Let the mods decide on this one.

Why not map before the drum beat? Quite a lot of mappers do that...

Anyway here's my difficulty (which doesn't have mapping before the drums because I don't like mapping such parts).
Please add upload it to the beatmap approval system larto :)

I've used your timing because it seemed ok (did a quick check and it sounded alright so I decided to map :P)

I agree, the BPM should be 122. Offset sounds like 480 to me.

00:33:67 (4) - Okay, this is the last overlapping thing (on the map, not the timeline), I am pointing out. It is absolutely optional if you don't want to change it... but other BATs might disagree with it due to the fact that a lot of players complain about these overlapping sliders~
00:38:34 (1,1) - Last overlapping on the timeline I am mentioning, look at my modding for How to Talk to see how to deal with it~
00:41:29 (4,5,6) - I think a full slider fits better here, but once again, optional
00:43:26 (4,5,6) - Same thing here

Okay, I fixed MOST of the issues, BUT I didn't fix two overlapping sliders. I mean, they're here so your brain isn't turned off fully and, come on, those two sliders aren't hard to see. Cyclone got all of em in his first try. OKAY IT'S CYCLONE. But I had the exactly same problem on ReRicked Insane. FOR THE FIRST TIME I'VE PLAYED IT. If the guys who are complaining about the overlapping sliders play a hard map, do they expect to Full Combo it on the first try?

Every hard map has some tricks so it can't be FC'd without some thinking, so, if you don't get distracted by stacks, don't get distracted by overlapping sliders, guys :P

...Still, if another BAT complains about that, I eventually will have to fix it, but I definitely won't for the moment : P

If you wanna know why I fixed two of the sliders, I thought they'd look better that way D=

It's not really because of that, but it because a slider is absolutely "invisible" when it is underneath another slider. That's why some BATs are against it.

this is mapped very well, but a lot of things irked me and I was very lenient on spacing

I thought I should just defend Larto here that I think the spacing is absolutely okay, having played through the map a few times. But this is depending on Larto and whether he thinks he feels justified to fix it. I just feel like throwing my two cents there.

The beat matching to music is horrible. You can't keep switching the matching between the background piano and the foreground singing/guitar. This is a rhythm game, and randomly switching around breaks rhythm.
