  1. My main issue would be the hitwhistle sound that seems too generic and irrelevant to the song. I'd recommend the default soft-hitwhistle instead.


Terton's Easy

  • I am not too happy with the inear transitions and the way they are mixed with the rest of the patterns. 00:00:775 (1,2,3) - 00:21:025 (3,4,5) - these are the only two patterns where sharp 90 degree angle is used and it feels a little too rough in cmparison with 00:18:025 (1,2,3) - 00:06:025 (1,2,3,4,5) - and just about every other pattern in the diffuculty. Wouldn't patterns with sharper angles make more sense with the style and song chosen? example

    Basically, I recommend you to keep the same flow/style concept throughout the difficulty and avoid patterns that stand out (since the song provides no dramatic alterations to the way it sounds)

    00:22:525 (4,5) - the slidertick is not visible in-game, anyway. Additionally, 00:22:525 (4,5) - this rhythm shift is pretty confusing and 00:23:650 - the beat here remains unmapped. Here is an example of the rhythm we could use to make it feel slightly more natural and simplistic.

    Fairly okayish difficulty with a bit of visual inconsistencies.

    I can see the rhythm working, but I still disaree with the decision of leaving beats like 00:18:025 - unclickable. I would've preferred to have them clickable like this or so, to make the thing more ibtuitive for low-level players.


advanced_17
The difficulty name itself goes along the consistent naming structure used for every other difficulty and has no clear indication of the creator's name. I would highly recommend changing that into ego_17's Advanced to line up with the set's structure.
  1. 00:19:900 (3,2) - (2) could've been placed lower to prevent the overlap, which appears to be uninentional/untidy. example
    Note: the jump here is somewhat difficult as the rest of the difficulty is spaced. There is no way to tell that the jumb would be there. // I am also unsure about leaving stronger beat on 00:19:900 (3) - unclickable. I'd prefer something like this

    I like the way you wanted it to be symmetrical, but the way you kind of broken the symmetrical structure for some of the patterns makes me less happy about it.



Space's Crescendo
  1. 00:01:525 (2,3,1) - swapping them on the timeline (Ctrl+G) would make more sense. As this way, you'd be introducing the 3/4 rhythm first, and then asking players to actually click it.
  2. 00:08:837 - isn't it strange to have a weaker beat here clickable, whereas a much stronger one on 00:08:650 - has no clickable object at all? this might work better for the patterns like this one
  3. 00:12:775 - this beat here actually feels like something that needs a clickable object. So, I would shorten (1) till 00:12:400 - this point and have a circle for 00:12:775 - to match the piano beats.

    I disagree with the way you missed out on some pretty strong things by making them unclickable. Apart from that there isn't much to comment on, though.


I'd say that the set feels a bit rushed. Getting more mods and looking into the music more attentively might improve it a lot.

  1. I'm not a fan of how you've stylised all the sliders on this map. Due to how straight they are, it doesn't feel all that modern. You should ctrl+a and then rotate the entire map by 1-5°
  2. 00:00:775 (1,2,3,4) - New players will struggle to hit these notes because of how some of them start on a blue tick. Keep in mind that these players are completely new to rhythm games as a whole, and they probably won't know about these kinds of rhythms either. Do something like what was done in the normal; because the blue ticks were expressed through passive sounds (ie. reverse arrows), the player hasn't got to concern themselves with clicking the notes on time.


[Normal]
  1. Same kind of deal as in the easy. You should rotate the whole difficulty by a small amount for a more modern atmosphere.
  2. 00:09:025 (2) - Assuming that you're mapping to the high pitched piano; the music here is identical to the music at 00:06:025 (2) - , so you should rotate this by 90° so that the slider travels up, making it consistent with the previous note and better representing the music.


[Ego's Advanced]
  1. 00:10:150 (4,5,6) - I feel like the head of (6) deserves much more emphasis than the previous two notes, because the sound it's on is much stronger in comparison. Perhaps you could replace (4,5) with a 1/4 slider? (timeline) This will create contrast regarding the strength of (5) and (6) due to the unclickable slider-end, making it more faithful to the music.
  2. 00:17:650 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - Interesting symmetry, but I think this pattern needs a serious rework due to the rhythmic issues that this pattern presents. Namely, this problem arises from the last repeat slider of each combo, like 00:18:400 (3) - . The repeat slider ends on a very powerful beat, so it would be better to get rid of this repeat and place a circle there instead (timeline). This is better, since the last beat is getting the correct emphasis. Now repeat this until the end of the song, because there is no reason for 00:20:650 (1,2,3) - to be inconsistent, the music is the same here.


[Space's Crescendo]
  1. 00:13:525 (3,1) - You can make this oval look nicer. I would ctrl+G (1) and then move it to an area like x:276 y:160 (keep in mind you'll have to adjust the notes after because of distance snap). The problem with this pattern though is that you've reduced the spacing and stopped the circular momentum, which doesn't feel all that good to play. To remedy this, I would try a pattern such as this. The distance snap feels larger, which is appropriate considering the intensity of the song, and you've kept the circular motion from the previous pattern, meaning it'll flow much nicer.

Such a helpful and engaging mod! It really pointed out some big things in terms of pattern and difficulty consistency through some important and pivotal parts of my map. I feel as if it works much better and the whole thing is much more consistent as a result. Fixed all mentioned above.

  1. I'm not a fan of how you've stylised all the sliders on this map. Due to how straight they are, it doesn't feel all that modern. You should ctrl+a and then rotate the entire map by 1-5°
  2. 00:00:775 (1,2,3,4) - New players will struggle to hit these notes because of how some of them start on a blue tick. Keep in mind that these players are completely new to rhythm games as a whole, and they probably won't know about these kinds of rhythms either. Do something like what was done in the normal; because the blue ticks were expressed through passive sounds (ie. reverse arrows), the player hasn't got to concern themselves with clicking the notes on time.

  1. Why there is two different distance snap in the map? 00:04:525 (5,1) - For instance here, you're following two different spacing. In the beginning you're mapping in 1.5x, and suddenly here: 00:06:025 (1) - you change it by making a distance of 1.7x. And then you're changing again to use 1.4x. So please, try to use consistant DS for all the map, especially if it's an Easy. (consistant DS on Easy/Normal diffs is a Ranking Criteria rule.)
  2. 00:00:775 (1,2) - To make it more beginner-friendly, why not using a rhythm like this instead? https://puu.sh/xt2qM/8f1b5d019a.png / Because it can be quite hard to predict for a beginner that the circle is placed on a 1/4 snap.
  3. 00:16:525 (3,1) - The angle here feels pretty hard to play, cause the end of this slider: 00:16:525 (3) - is leading to the opposite where this slider: 00:18:025 (1) - is.
  4. 00:18:025 (1,2,3,4) - I'm not a big fan of this kind of patterns, using sharp flow like this is not a very good idea. Make more circular flows, especially to respect the beauty of the music, but also to make it more obvious for a beginner.

  2. 00:07:525 (5,2) - Since there is strong sounds here, that would be better to make them spaced from their previous notes, that would make more sense. Like you did here: 00:05:650 (1,2) - it's better, and more logic.
  3. 00:15:025 (1) - Same here, unstack this note, cause there is a strong note here.
  4. 00:21:400 (3) - Why are you suddenly changing DS here? Keep it consistant during all the map, especially cause there is a lot of notes on 1/4 snap, so that would help the player by giving him some "landmark".

Perhaps you could replace (4,5) with a 1/4 slider? (timeline) This will create contrast regarding the strength of (5) and (6) due to the unclickable slider-end, making it more faithful to the music.
    i desided to use this short sliders only in kiai and they only look good in packs , this lonley one would be out of place
  2. 00:17:650 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - Interesting symmetry, but I think this pattern needs a serious rework due to the rhythmic issues that this pattern presents. Namely, this problem arises from the last repeat slider of each combo, like 00:18:400 (3) - . The repeat slider ends on a very powerful beat, so it would be better to get rid of this repeat and place a circle there instead (timeline). This is better, since the last beat is getting the correct emphasis.
    replacing some tripples by a short repeat sliders is a common thing in mapping (especialy then you want to make things easier), so i dont see problem there
    Now repeat this until the end of the song, because there is no reason for 00:20:650 (1,2,3) - to be inconsistent, the music is the same here

  1. 00:19:525 (3) - Without this note here this map feels weird, cause you make a soundable object in every piano on red tick i heard, but this i the one piano which is empty. Also it's a bit intense part, of this really long ang mastered song (Kappa), so i think this circle will improve a rhythm on this part, cause now it's ENMPTY (I really like this word). Also if you make a less shape on 00:12:025 (1) you can make good transition to 00:13:150 (2) circle by make good DS with both sliders. (I mean 00:12:025 (1,2,3) have good DSes).
  2. 00:18:025 (2,3,4) - I don't like personally a pattern you make here on Easy diffs You will propably say: Why?. Because the objects are too close and they make feeling they are earlier than they are. So better one pattern is when you will make objects further than now, cause this is clearer and looks more polished.
[Normal]
  1. 00:20:650 (1,2) - This one two objects looks a bit messy for me, I think it looks a bit greater if you will rotate the slider by 45 degrees. It's a little suggestion, cause it's only my personal opinion :D.
[Advanced]
  1. I think this diff should be more polished and must we mapped with more accuracy. Now it looks a bit odd and it's to be honest the worst diff on mapset *runs.
  2. 00:01:525 (3,5) - This overlap is really messy and look really bad. You can move it anywhere tbh, but you've made it really not clear and good to play. The Advanced diff is hard to map, because you must make it Harder than Normal and Easier than Hard when a border between both diff is really small. So you must make it clear like normal, but rhytmical like hard or clear like hard and rhythmical like normal. Here it's not even clear when rhythm is like on Hard, so you should make it clearlier.
  3. 00:02:087 (4,5,6,1) - Look at this pattern please, is it good made? I think it's not great one, since the best patterns in the world (for me ofc) are a geometry. What you can make here? I think you should to make a trapeze here which is really good thing and it's clear and simple.
  4. 00:07:150 (4,5,1,2) - Stacks are good when you're making a stack with strong sound and less sound, not less sound and strong sound. This one feels weird and look a bit like in 2010. I think this should be changed to improve a movement.
  5. 00:20:650 (1,2,3) - Why you have changed rhythm when a sounds are the same and first rhythm was more comfortable to play? I can't understand it. Give me a reason, cause now it's a bit unreasonable.
  6. With more mods this diff can be good. Don't give up!
