So far i think Stable is the only version supported for OS X. I hope cutting edge will be out for Mac soon thougha happy doge wrote:
hmm, peppy said that fallback wasn't supported anymore, so i guess our only hope is for a new mac client or for someone to make a wrapper for Cutting Edge?
Still stuck on Stable (Fallback) here. Haven't found a way to get out of it.TheReal_G6 wrote:

There is a way with the new alpha release, however it's unplayable for me. The input lag is unbearable, fullscreen isn't working properly, you get a tremendous lag spike on the first few seconds of every beatmap and framerate is locked to vsync, which is a horror for osu! Unless it gets fixed soon I'm taking a break and waiting patiently for the native version.- Kurk - wrote:
Is there a way to get stable latest on a mac yet? Trying to get score v2 on it

I wrote about it in my GH readme. Means that osu updater installed Stable distribution. It is built for dotnet4.0+ (4.5?) but wrapper has only 4.0 installed, and missing important patches. Open osu.config and change release stream for Stable40. Then get compatible osu executable (try this one from stable40, you can use it whenever you need to invoke updater with broken setup http://www.mediafire.com/download/1anmo ... osu%21.exe) and run it, it should download correct distribution. If then it runs but you can only hear sound with black screen, remove some files like osu!ui.dll, osu!gameplay.dll and hope that on the next launch updater will rebuild osu correctly.Agrrox wrote:

Yay, finally osx users have decent osu client.
Getting stuck on this after update and it doesnt run.
I'm not completely sure now, but for previous experiments msxml3, gdiplus, and maybe directx was enough.Agrrox wrote:
i will try to make one. do you know what are required dependencies and libraries for osu to install on wine?
im confused on what to do with the contents of the "osu-wine-master" folder still.vsnrain wrote:

Try using wrapper from my fork:

In short:
- Use MacDriver to get less lag but scaled resolution.
- Use staging-1.9.9 engine
- Use Stable40/Beta40/CuttingEdge release streams as they have required fixes.
