Tested new wrapper version (2.6.1), it works fine. The only thing I noticed is that while playing osu on El Capitan gpu temperature is 10-15 degrees higher (~75C vs ~60C) than on Yosemite, regardless of wine version or engine. (MacBookPro10,1 gpu idle at 40C)GlashaRosa wrote:

Same thing on mine. When I updated to Yosemite, Osu just capped to 60fps all of a sudden. I'm not really sure if Apple is even aware of this issue. I just hope it can be fixed by a client update or something. Maybe a wrapper update? Well, I tried to update mine but it just gives an error and tells me to just do a manual update. I really don't want to mess with anything cuz things might get chaotic.Fucboi wrote:
Hello, since the Yosemite update Osu has been capped to 60FPS and the cursor is like laggy. However, sometimes, at the start of Osu, it does start at 120FPS which is the value I chosed, but after like 20 seconds, it goes back to 60FPS with the "laggy" cursor. I'm pretty sure the problem is from Yosemite because it's since this update that I got the problem, for info I'm playing on a Macbook pro 15" Retina from late 2013 with Intel Iris Pro Graphics
Have any of you experienced the same problem?
Thanks
Sometimes if I'm lucky it does go back to 120fps. But most of the time it's capped.

Thanks for the new mac version.
It is great and I have been waiting for it for years.
My problem is that, it seems not support any Chinese, Japanese or Korean characters.
As a Chinese user, reading kanji is much more easier than speeling romaji hiragana.
So is there any options for me or I have to wait for the next version?

I have installed it on 10.9.5, and it will run once after the computer is restarted.
After that, it will only display a blank panel that says, "oh no!"
There is no way to run it until the laptop is restarted again.
Please help.
the problem maybe that the X11 service had been canceled since the Yosemite ( os x 10.8), so you need to download XQuartzhttp://www.xquartz.org instead if your system is higher.i0nNepgear wrote:

So far i think Stable is the only version supported for OS X. I hope cutting edge will be out for Mac soon thougha happy doge wrote:

Still stuck on Stable (Fallback) here. Haven't found a way to get out of it.TheReal_G6 wrote:

There is a way with the new alpha release, however it's unplayable for me. The input lag is unbearable, fullscreen isn't working properly, you get a tremendous lag spike on the first few seconds of every beatmap and framerate is locked to vsync, which is a horror for osu! Unless it gets fixed soon I'm taking a break and waiting patiently for the native version.- Kurk - wrote:
Is there a way to get stable latest on a mac yet? Trying to get score v2 on it
yup, at this point the alpha release is unplayable, hope they can find a way around itAgrrox wrote:

My mac says that osu (downloaded here) will harm the computer and should be sent to the bin, because the developer hasn't been verified. how can i fix this?
I wrote about it in my GH readme. Means that osu updater installed Stable distribution. It is built for dotnet4.0+ (4.5?) but wrapper has only 4.0 installed, and missing important patches. Open osu.config and change release stream for Stable40. Then get compatible osu executable (try this one from stable40, you can use it whenever you need to invoke updater with broken setup http://www.mediafire.com/download/1anmo ... osu%21.exe) and run it, it should download correct distribution. If then it runs but you can only hear sound with black screen, remove some files like osu!ui.dll, osu!gameplay.dll and hope that on the next launch updater will rebuild osu correctly.Agrrox wrote:

Getting stuck on this after update and it doesnt run.
I'm not completely sure now, but for previous experiments msxml3, gdiplus, and maybe directx was enough.Agrrox wrote:
i will try to make one. do you know what are required dependencies and libraries for osu to install on wine?
im confused on what to do with the contents of the "osu-wine-master" folder still.vsnrain wrote:

Try using wrapper from my fork:
https://github.com/vsnrain/osu-wine
In short:
- Use MacDriver to get less lag but scaled resolution.
- Use staging-1.9.9 engine
- Use Stable40/Beta40/CuttingEdge release streams as they have required fixes.
The application X11 could not be opened. Thanks

Click Quit to quit X11. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple.
It does on work on 10.11, you sure you have XQuartz >= 2.7.7 installed?Yuguiboy91 wrote:

I am running cutting edge version on mac with good results, here is how:Sorry, but i am noob when it comes to mac stuff.
get osu wrapper from here:
https://github.com/vsnrain/osu-wine
get and install xquartz:
https://www.xquartz.org/
osu cutting edge executable:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/54714869/osu%21.exe
optional: wineskin staging engine STG 1.9.12
http://portingteam.com/topic/10055-wine ... e__st__300
Install xquartz and place osu!.exe inside wrapper to folder osu!/
Use wineskin.app inside wrapper to change executable to file we placed inside.
now try to change wrapper settings as following:
screenshots
Using this setup game is running smoothly. However when i try to update osu to Stable it crashes and wont start, perhaps "Stable" is not 4.0 ? Will try update it to beta if it runs.
Also wrapper has option to enable CSMT function inside Tools -> Config Utility to make use of staging, not sure how it works but maybe osu will run better/worse when enabled ? For me its causing visual artefacts and decreased fps and lags.
i havent been getting results with vsnrains wrapper, i've been using the one you posted 11 days ago and its been working fineAgrrox wrote:
my build is crashing, dont know why...
probably best working wrapper is vsnrain's which was cloned from peppy's github depository and modified, wish i knew what fixes been made there.
sad thing is that regedit and winetricks doesn't work on that wrapper.
I downloaded this and left osu! minimized for about 3 minutes (adding in my skins) and it gave my mac a kernel panic :/Agrrox wrote:

you better limit your fps to avoid frame drop spikes on low end machines especially when on wine. 120 or 240 is fine...

IIRC there was a comment on somewhere that said that lazer should be compatible with Mac natively, should solve most of our problems. Also hope that it will be out soon.Agrrox wrote:
