So if I have a downloaded replay from my user page that's in the top 1k plays for that map, is there a way for me to convert that into something like a .avi, .wmv, .mov, ect? I'm asking because I'm a dumb kid who wants to make youtube videos. Thanks to any replies.

Take a look at using recording software such as OBS Studio or XSplit. Even though they're intended for broadcasting and streaming, they're also amazing at doing regular screen recordings as well. You'll have to do the due diligence yourself if you're planning to do these uploads en masse. There's a lot of dedicated video content producers that do this, so check out people like ReeseWasHere ( ;_; ), Dsco, and the Circle People to get an idea of what they do. :)

I kind of think this question is better suited elsewhere, but... whatever, it's all good.

What I do currently is Use OBS (https://obsproject.com/) to record gameplay (You could game capture the replay ) combined with this (http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/index. ... 0wodMi0Nhg) which is a .fiv file converter that converts the file format from OBS recordings into a different format (I convert to .avi) from there you can upload that .avi file directly to youtube. But I'm not a super enthusiastic OBS user so if you want more help with the actual application someone else could probably help but hope this helped somewhat

Hooray for OBS. :P

Doesn't YouTube directly upload the .flv format directly? You can also change the file format output if .flv itself is not a viable format for you. I use .mp4 myself for video editing afterwards... Either way, that looks like a nice converter. :) I've used Handbrake myself these days.

I've tried using OBS but my computer is pretty low quality and it can't handle OBS properly even on lower settings

Keep messing around with the OBS settings until you find something that relatively works. Alternatively, you could try Fraps or DXtory instead then.

There could be the worst-case scenario that your computer is TOO low-end to capture video sufficiently, and if that's the case, you may need to eventually save up for a newer computer down the line...

You can also try this:

It tends to break from time to time but looks like it got fixed only a couple hours ago so this should work fine!

Also this subforum is for stuff unrelated to osu!...

Bandicam is actually okay too, if you're not an edgy nazi viewer which is bothered by the small watermark on the upper side. Else, OBS is a good thing.

I'm going to be getting a job after my first year of college to get new parts for my computer. Maybe then I can be a pewdiepie level legend.

Thanks for the advice anyways!

Sounds like we've figured this out.
I'd like to remind you that General Discussion is for non osu! related topics, and you would be much better in the Help subfourm next time you've got an osu! related question.
