Jumps are incredibly frustrating to me because 99% of the time I can't feel that I missed a jump. Nearly every time I get to a jump sequence I'm going, feeling great, and I hear the combo drop and see a red 'x' in my peripheral. Since my mind doesn't recognize what I did wrong, I doubt I will improve at my jump skills while this remains. It feels more like luck, and it's killing me.
I don't remember having this issue a year ago, I don't know what went wrong. I've considered it to be due to how far ahead I read, since reading closer to the cursor tends to improve my chances, but I can't exactly start reading closer just for jumps unless I know exactly where they are, and it makes it harder to read the future jumps. I read just about as they appear on AR 9 if that helps.
I tried a couple times to fail and watch the replay when I would miss a jump, but it's really difficult to tell exactly what I am doing wrong when you can't go lower than 0.50x speed, there is no rewind, and the clicking effect is somewhat subtle.
I use a wacom P&T and a Microsoft non-mechanical keyboard.
Can anybody offer any solutions, or is this normal?
