[extra]
most people snap their spinners to 1/4 not 1/16th lol..
00:14:436 (4,3) - these notes are overmapped, or much quieter. the most obvious rhythm here is double based, and it makes it much more interesting than a generic quint too. (this is repeated every time there's a quint lol)
00:17:127 - this is a really quiet sound, i think it's better to leave it as a slider end.
00:20:204 - doesn't sound like any sound xd
00:30:974 (3,4,5,6,7) - should be same spacing as 00:29:436 (1,2,3,4,5) - imo, same sound in the song.
this section is nice because it establishes a horizontal theme
00:31:551 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - then this thing completely ruins that entire theme. pretty weird lol.
also the shape of that stream is really ugly, the right angle is weird and besides 00:32:032 (6) - is actually overmapped, i think you can easily adjust this to fit better with the rest of the map.
00:32:512 (1,2,3,4,5) - only time you use a curved burst up until now. with such a slight curve, you might be better off just making it into a straight line.
however, i don't think the straight horizontal gimmick is that good, since you don't implement it in the rest of the map. it's better to do stuff like polygon shapes or varying spacing rather than using that kind of map-defining theme in only half of the first kiai.
the next section has some messy visual spacings, like
00:41:358 (7,1) - is really close together
00:42:321 (2,3,4,5,6) - this entire pattern looks pretty ugly imo
00:47:320 (4,5) - this motion feels weird to me, just a minor change of ctrl g on 4 would make it "play" better
00:47:897 (1,3,5) - you use 3 different sliders in the same section, and they are not really evenly spaced or stuff so it doesn't look that good.
00:54:821 (5,6,7,8) - this pattern isn't that good cuz it puts a lot of emphasis on 7 even though 7 isn't a note that needs emphasis
00:55:782 (2,4) - is also an example of bad visual spacing
most of the 2nd kiai has this same issue where the notes don't really look like they're arranged in any sort of cohesive pattern. this leads to weird angles and emphasis like
01:04:244 (5,6) - having a wide angle into it and then 01:04:820 (7) - having huge spacing.
01:05:589 (3,4,5,6) - has really big spacing even though it isn't anything special per se
the last kiai has the same issue of establishing a theme and then completely ruining it with the longer streams
i know this is quite a dumb sounding thing to say since it's hard to explain on a forum post. it'd be better to irc mod this imo, i could show you what i mean better.
[insane]
the rhythm in the intro is better if you follow the synth since it's a lot more clear than the drums imo... you can just ctrl g every 2,3 00:14:339 (2,3) - to solve this issue.
00:33:666 (8,9) - should be same slider o.o
00:43:089 (1,2,3) - think it's better to do something that emphasizes the held out vocal
00:56:358 (4,5,6,7,1,2) - things like this with varying angles and visual spacing make the map look really messy and inconsistent, it's better to maintain visual spacing within each pattern.
this issue is present throughout the entire 2nd kiai too, it's hard to point out specific changes since you'd need to redo the entire thing with a different structure in mind. if you'd like i can irc with you as well for questions..
[hard]
i don't really like the back and forths you used, since i think it presents an undue reading challenge when combined with the fact that you use 1/2 stacks, triple stacks, 1/1 "stacks" in the back and forths and slider stacks too.
00:18:666 (1) - think this is better with 2 1/1 sliders or 3/2 sliders rather than the repeat. like here 00:24:820 (1,2) -
00:37:993 (6) - why is the spacing increased around here o.o
00:55:589 (1,2,3) - this looks pretty ugly imo. (on every time that pattern is used.)
basically a bunch of sliders get really really close together and it looks really bad imo. not that big of a deal compared to the reading stuff with the stacks.
[normal]
00:15:589 (1,2,3) - this kind of thing is a big nono cuz 3 and 2 are same spacing, and 3 is closer to the cursor so noobs will misread and go to 3 instead of 2.
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7354901 something like this is better. (though that pattern i used is really ugly dont do that xd)
00:24:051 (2,3) - looks pretty ugly tbh
00:28:666 (2,3,1) - same thing as before. you could just rotate 1 a bit and move it down. generally speaking, right angles are a bit harsh for noobs and it's better to use more soft angles imo.
00:39:051 (2,3,1) - same thing with misreading, 1 is in the slider path of 2, pretty misleading.
00:43:089 (4,1,2) - lol
basically you do the exact same thing a bunch, please fix..
00:46:743 (1,2,3) - this one is fine
00:58:474 (3) - this is low key the most ugly slider i've ever seen
you also use a shit ton of repeat sliders, which make really harsh movement for noobs and should generally be avoided in that quantity.
this mod is super remap kds-y, i hope it helps. as always, pm me if you want to ask questions!
