00:57:127 (1,2,3) - this is superoverdone imo - I don't think so. They emphasize the intensity of the vocals as well as the synths that kick in here. Also the relatively low BPM makes this jump not a problem at all.
there is nothing to tell since everything repeats same problems - What problems? You seem to think that the map is overdone but I don't think you realise how lower BPM mapping can affect the use of spacing with songs like this. The more intense parts of the map still follow standard spacing emphasis theory as well, which leaves no part of the map feeling "overdone" compared to the others. Only, more time between hitting circles allows for larger jumps in return for proper intensity emphasis.

I think it'll make it a bit convoluted though since I'll have to use quite a few samplesets to fit additional claps here. I'll think about it.

I don't think I want to add some imaginary clap beat here for one thing. Maybe I'll look into it more later, though right now it doesn't seem like a very big problem and gives emphasis to the bridge section because of the snare kicking in.
can you taking a time to self-mod your hitsounds overall before getting mods maybe, it lacks quite obviously. - I spent thrice the amount of time hitsounding this than mapping it, and I don't find it very lacking in terms of hitsounding due to the reasoning above. That said, I might look into it a bit more to see if there's any simple way to improve the sections you mentioned without hitsounding to nonexistent instruments. lol

most people snap their spinners to 1/4 not 1/16th lol..

00:14:436 (4,3) - these notes are overmapped, or much quieter. the most obvious rhythm here is double based, and it makes it much more interesting than a generic quint too. (this is repeated every time there's a quint lol)

00:17:127 - this is a really quiet sound, i think it's better to leave it as a slider end.

00:20:204 - doesn't sound like any sound xd

00:30:974 (3,4,5,6,7) - should be same spacing as 00:29:436 (1,2,3,4,5) - imo, same sound in the song.

this section is nice because it establishes a horizontal theme

00:31:551 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - then this thing completely ruins that entire theme. pretty weird lol.
also the shape of that stream is really ugly, the right angle is weird and besides 00:32:032 (6) - is actually overmapped, i think you can easily adjust this to fit better with the rest of the map.

00:32:512 (1,2,3,4,5) - only time you use a curved burst up until now. with such a slight curve, you might be better off just making it into a straight line.

however, i don't think the straight horizontal gimmick is that good, since you don't implement it in the rest of the map. it's better to do stuff like polygon shapes or varying spacing rather than using that kind of map-defining theme in only half of the first kiai.

the next section has some messy visual spacings, like

00:41:358 (7,1) - is really close together

00:42:321 (2,3,4,5,6) - this entire pattern looks pretty ugly imo

00:47:320 (4,5) - this motion feels weird to me, just a minor change of ctrl g on 4 would make it "play" better

00:47:897 (1,3,5) - you use 3 different sliders in the same section, and they are not really evenly spaced or stuff so it doesn't look that good.

00:54:821 (5,6,7,8) - this pattern isn't that good cuz it puts a lot of emphasis on 7 even though 7 isn't a note that needs emphasis

00:55:782 (2,4) - is also an example of bad visual spacing

most of the 2nd kiai has this same issue where the notes don't really look like they're arranged in any sort of cohesive pattern. this leads to weird angles and emphasis like
01:04:244 (5,6) - having a wide angle into it and then 01:04:820 (7) - having huge spacing.

01:05:589 (3,4,5,6) - has really big spacing even though it isn't anything special per se

the last kiai has the same issue of establishing a theme and then completely ruining it with the longer streams

i know this is quite a dumb sounding thing to say since it's hard to explain on a forum post. it'd be better to irc mod this imo, i could show you what i mean better.

you also use a shit ton of repeat sliders, which make really harsh movement for noobs and should generally be avoided in that quantity.

00:14:436 (4,3) - these notes are overmapped, or much quieter. the most obvious rhythm here is double based, and it makes it much more interesting than a generic quint too. 00:31:551 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - then this thing completely ruins that entire theme. pretty weird lol. simply because having everything horizontal for the entire riff - boring. I was keeping it horizontal and then decided to move onto more vertical scheme
also the shape of that stream is really ugly, the right angle is weird and besides 00:32:032 (6) - is actually overmapped, i think you can easily adjust this to fit better with the rest of the map. the reason why I am mapping (6) is because I am giving it a bit of a light treatment because it is an end of a stanza and I want it to be interesting and difficult.

00:32:512 (1,2,3,4,5) - only time you use a curved burst up until now. with such a slight curve, you might be better off just making it into a straight line. already thought about changing this, but then other curved streams would fall out of context. After the square corner stream, I want it to become less stale

however, i don't think the straight horizontal gimmick is that good, since you don't implement it in the rest of the map. it's better to do stuff like polygon shapes or varying spacing rather than using that kind of map-defining theme in only half of the first kiai.

the next section has some messy visual spacings, like

00:41:358 (7,1) - is really close together but how is that a problem?

00:42:321 (2,3,4,5,6) - this entire pattern looks pretty ugly imo I am aware of that, I keep procrastinating on this.

00:47:320 (4,5) - this motion feels weird to me, just a minor change of ctrl g on 4 would make it "play" better I disagree on ctrl+g but I lowered the spacing a bit

00:47:897 (1,3,5) - you use 3 different sliders in the same section, and they are not really evenly spaced or stuff so it doesn't look that good. made two of them match

00:54:821 (5,6,7,8) - this pattern isn't that good cuz it puts a lot of emphasis on 7 even though 7 isn't a note that needs emphasis fixed a bit lets see how this does

00:55:782 (2,4) - is also an example of bad visual spacing pushed 4 away and alligned it with (2)

most of the 2nd kiai has this same issue where the notes don't really look like they're arranged in any sort of cohesive pattern. this leads to weird angles and emphasis like
01:04:244 (5,6) - having a wide angle into it and then 01:04:820 (7) - having huge spacing. (7) doesnt have huge spacing, its after a slider and its really intense. This is completely intentional. Weird angle between 5,6 because, well... 80% of my chorus are weird angles

01:05:589 (3,4,5,6) - has really big spacing even though it isn't anything special per se intensity rising, thus spacing getting bigger

the last kiai has the same issue of establishing a theme and then completely ruining it with the longer streams
i know this is quite a dumb sounding thing to say since it's hard to explain on a forum post. it'd be better to irc mod this imo, i could show you what i mean better.

  01:12:512 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - evil
2. pay more attention to aesthetics, many people don't like it but it's an important part in mapping, here're some examples:
  00:35:397 (1,6) - 00:41:743 (8,2) - almost overlapped (just mentioning 00:46:551 (8,2) - this one looks much better because it's consistent with 00:46:167 (6,1) - this, so if you do some edgy things, make them consistent)

this issue is present throughout the entire 2nd kiai too, it's hard to point out specific changes since you'd need to redo the entire thing with a different structure in mind. if you'd like i can irc with you as well for questions.. - Since I just about finished mapping this, any kind of structural remapping would be unlikely to improve it. You'll have to use better reasoning for that to happen, and it doesn't really seem like a big issue to begin with.

General
- The countdown sounds just sound really distracting and aren't really helpful for counting the player into the song in my opinion, so I would suggest to get rid of them.

Monarch's Easy Rocks!
- 00:24:435 (2,3,4) - I feel like you could arrange these in a more interesting wat than in a straight line, since most of your other objects previously were arranged at angles.
- 00:26:358 (1,2,3) - You could arrange these as a perfect triangle to make it look neater.
- 00:41:743 (1) - Similar thing, it could be possible to make the gaps between 00:40:589 (4,1) and 00:41:358 (6,1) visually the same.

squirrelp's Normal Rocks!
- 00:24:820 (1) - The curve part of this slider couild look neater and more circular if you either centre the white node or add an extra white node to balance.
- 01:23:858 - Missing this beat sounds inconsistent with the previous rhythm you've had since the missing beat was usually before beat 4 rather than beat 3.

- 00:19:435 (2,2) - Not perfectly stacked so it could look neater.
- 00:54:820 (4,5) - You could pair these up and make 5 a curve too.
- 00:56:935 (5,1) - I feel like stacking doesn't really give the NC as much emphasis as it could. You could stack 5 below the previous slider if you wanted.

Jinx's Insane Rocks!
- 00:17:897 (4) - This linear curve slider seems random and out of place, you might as well keep it a smooth curve and pair it with 00:17:512 (3).
- 00:24:820 (1,2) - I feel like snapping these to the red ticks would be better. For 1, you can hear the synth sound beginning to get quieter on 00:25:397 so that makes sense. For 2, ending the slider on the blue tick and then introducing a stream isn't very intuitive to play for this difficulty, so shortening the slider would help the player since it's easier to recognise when to release the slider and how to start the stream without tripping over their fingers.
- 00:53:666 (5,6,7) - I'm not sure if this is the best rhythm choice for this sound. A triple usually puts emphasis on the final note, however I don't hear anything that would suggest adding emphasis in this way. If you wanted to use this sort of rhythm I think a 1/4 reverse slider would be better.
- 00:59:435 (4,5,6) - I don't think increasing the spacing is appropriate for this since this is a dead zone in the music where not much is going on so increasing the spacing gives unecessary emphasis to those beats.
- 01:04:627 (6) - I think placing this further to the right would be more consistent with the sharper angles earlier in this combo.
- 01:05:974 (5,6,7) - Similar as before, triples that start on white ticks usually have this problem I feel.
- 01:07:897 (1,2,3,4,5) - This feels like it goes against emphasising the lyrics all of a sudden since you mapped the red ticks where the vocals lie on passive slider ends. I understand the downbeat is also important to map to, so perhaps you could try a combo where 01:07:897 (1) is two circles instead?
- 01:22:897 (8,9) - Minor thing, these aren't perfectly the same shape.

Extra Rocks!
- 00:25:590 (2) - I would suggest making this visually similar to 00:24:821 (1) by removing one red node, since that's how you arranged 00:16:359 (1,2) - 00:18:666 (1,2).
- 00:31:551 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - I would wait until the start of the measure before increasing the spacing further since there is nothing in the music to suggest increasing it earlier, while a higher pitch in the next section would.
- 00:42:129 (2) - Unsnapped according to AIMod.*
- 00:47:897 (1,2) - You could pair these up and make these the same slider shape to make it look neater.
- 00:51:935 - 00:52:320 - The more significant beat is here where the vocals is, so it would be better to map this to an active clicky beat like the start of a slider or a circle rather than the end to give it more emphasis.
- 00:52:512 (1,2) - This overlapping looks messy and could be easily avoided.
- 00:55:782 (2,3) - The music doesn't suggest using such a large spacing here since there isn't really much going on in the music here.
- 00:56:743 (5,1) - This spacing seems to imply these are spaced 1/2 apart, so it's not intuitive that the slider is 3/4, especially since this is the only 3/4 slider in this entire section.
- 00:58:859 (8) - I'd suggest that if you change the hitsounding here then the NC should be here too.
- 01:00:781 - Similar as before, this is the more significant beat that should be clicked.
- 01:01:167 (4,1) - This overlapping could be avoided to make this look neater.
- 01:03:858 (4,5,6) - This wide angle flow feels inconsistent with how you have mapped so far.
- 01:06:935 (3,4,5) - This spacing seems way too much for this in my opinion.
- 01:08:089 - Active beat thing again.
- 01:09:051 (6) - I also feel you could possible stack this ontop of 01:08:474 (3) to make the combo look neater.
- 01:11:743 (3,4) - This spacing also feels like too much of a stretch to me, especially since the vocals suggest less intensity than before.
- 01:12:512 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I'd suggest reworking this combo so that the stronger vocal beats are mapped to larger spacing compared to where there aren't vocals, rather than just gradually increasing the spacing over the combo since the music doesn't suggest that sort of arrangement.
- 01:16:551 (10) - You might as well keep the stream straight so that it pairs better with 01:15:590 (1,2,3,4,5) in my opinion. To avoid overlapping you could rotate 01:16:167 (6,7,8,9).
- 01:20:782 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - As before about increasing the spacing early.
- 01:26:166 (1,2) - This spacing isn't really intuitive to read or play for a 1/4 gap into a stream in my opinion.

- 00:56:743 (5,1) - This spacing seems to imply these are spaced 1/2 apart, so it's not intuitive that the slider is 3/4, especially since this is the only 3/4 slider in this entire section. I lowered the spacing a bit, not I think the players don't get lost here because I don't use such low spacing in the map for 1/2 and... you know... basic feeling of rhythm.
- 00:58:859 (8) - I'd suggest that if you change the hitsounding here then the NC should be here too. ye
- 01:00:781 - Similar as before, this is the more significant beat that should be clicked. ye

- 01:09:051 (6) - I also feel you could possible stack this ontop of 01:08:474 (3) to make the combo look neater. I dont feel like it gets in the way and I value placement here a lot
- 01:11:743 (3,4) - This spacing also feels like too much of a stretch to me, especially since the vocals suggest less intensity than before. It might be huge spacing, but at the same time, I can hear BA-BE so clearly
- 01:12:512 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I'd suggest reworking this combo so that the stronger vocal beats are mapped to larger spacing compared to where there aren't vocals, rather than just gradually increasing the spacing over the combo since the music doesn't suggest that sort of arrangement. Gradual increase here because intensity is climbing. Also, I follow drum beats here, not vocals. I will try to look into this combo, though, as I do agree that it is kind of wonky
- 01:16:551 (10) - You might as well keep the stream straight so that it pairs better with 01:15:590 (1,2,3,4,5) in my opinion. To avoid overlapping you could rotate 01:16:167 (6,7,8,9). I see where you are coming from, but the reason why it curves is to provide the right momentum for these jumps 01:16:551 (10,1,2) -
- 01:20:782 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - As before about increasing the spacing early.
- 01:26:166 (1,2) - This spacing isn't really intuitive to read or play for a 1/4 gap into a stream in my opinion. im fine with it, but I believe that I can do better. I will look into it.

There is a different sound going on which I tried to emphasise using slider shapes, but I guess it ends up looking bad. I will try and change it.

all deny, question mark on the slider looking weird, as it is true, but it gets the job done.

Didnt stack streams because I changed their separate rotations so they cant fit. It is intentional.

Hey.

Randomly came across this map, just gonna give some general feedback.
Feel free to not give kudosu for this, as this is mostly just opinionated - I'm not saying anything I propose is automatically correct.

I only looked at the Extra Rocks diff, so keep that in mind.

Anyway.

Extra Rocks:
In general there's a lot of points where it doesn't flow as well as it could, making it somewhat of an awkward map to play.
These examples include 00:31:551 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - since I believe that turn at the end of the stream is somewhat unnecessary. Especially since no other stream before it had massive sharp turns like that and the song doesn't really call for it either.
00:44:051 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Unless you're going for some kind of gimmick, this might also be a bit awkward to hit. The flow is fine here, but the spacing between 3 and 4 is a bit big.
00:48:859 (4,5,6,7) - This kind of flow is also somewhat inconsistent imo. 6 flows into 7 just fine, but 4 and 5 don't exactly flow that well. CTRL+G on 5 would fix it though.
00:56:743 (5) - I get what you were trying to go for here (vocal emphasis and all) but 5 should still be snapped to the red tick and not the blue tick.
01:00:782 (3,4) - This works better for flow.
01:02:320 (2) - Vocals end on 01:02:897 - so I think it'd make more sense to end the slider there too for consistency with the previous slider.
01:12:127 (4) - This slider should be CTRL+G'd
01:20:782 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Same issue as the stream I mentioned at the start where I mention it doesn't flow as well as it could, because again - the song doesn't call for such a sharp change in direction.
Gonna backtrack a little bit as I didn't notice this at first, but 01:16:167 (6,7,8,9,10) - same flow issue here as well, though this one can be left as is I think.

If you wanted to use this sort of rhythm I think a 1/4 reverse slider would be better. - Yeah I agree, in retrospect it does feel quite out of place. At the time, I was listening carefully if there'd be anything that could be emphasized with a triplet here, and I heard some sounds and laid it down. Thing is, those sounds more or less repeat all the time throughout the song, so the special emphasis caused by this triplet is unwarranted. Changed it to a reverse.
- 00:59:435 (4,5,6) - I don't think increasing the spacing is appropriate for this since this is a dead zone in the music where not much is going on so increasing the spacing gives unecessary emphasis to those beats. - Yeah the point is to emphasize repetition in the music here but I didn't feel like overlapping the two sliders completely so this happened as a result. Reduced the spacing to some degree.
- 01:04:627 (6) - I think placing this further to the right would be more consistent with the sharper angles earlier in this combo. - I think it's alright where it is right now, as it's supposed to be "symmetrical" with the slider end of 01:03:858 (4) -, thought I moved it a tiny bit more to the right to make it a bit more symmetrical as it was a little bit off.
- 01:05:974 (5,6,7) - Similar as before, triples that start on white ticks usually have this problem I feel. - I find this more fitting here as it's a much more intense part of the song.
- 01:07:897 (1,2,3,4,5) - This feels like it goes against emphasising the lyrics all of a sudden since you mapped the red ticks where the vocals lie on passive slider ends. I understand the downbeat is also important to map to, so perhaps you could try a combo where 01:07:897 (1) is two circles instead? - I see your point, though I think there is a problem keeping the emphasis on the vocals due to 01:14:820 (1,2) - being so prominent in instruments, and I'd like to keep these two sections consistent, so keeping them both mapped in instruments works for me. I will consider changing this once I get some more input, though.

Lami's stuff: 00:31:551 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - I am trying to think of something that would be normal DS yet play well into the next stanza. Hopefully,
I will come up with something (even if I like the square very much)
00:34:627 (1,2,3,4) - no, variety is ok, plays well and the big jump makes up for the spacing loss. I see where you are coming from, but I think my way of doing this is also fine.
