Loss of recently made accounts (~23h)

Unfortunately, due to a mis-click (and poorly designed software) any accounts created in roughly the last 23 hours will need to be recreated. Please contact me directly at pe@ppy.sh if you have any trouble during registration. In more positive news, we have a new home page design!

Update: It seems signatures/profiles in non-english have been damaged. I am looking at fixing these currently.
Update2: Signatures/profiles are now restored.

All signatures that are in different languages and require special characters have been scrambled, as well. :(

Ahhh, I thought it was funny when my avatar suddenly switched back to the one I had yesterday. Definitely like the new home page though. :) Very organized!

Some people are talking about decreased kudosu and post counts. Are they related to this issue?

Yes. Kudosu will unfortunately not be restored. Post counts should be fixed within 5 minutes.

Edit: Kudosu have been restored to the best of my ability.

Started with 995 kudosu, went to 993, now at 994. Good enough :P

I bought myself a year yesterday but it doesn't show 2012 anymore. I hope you can fix that, thanks in advance. :)

It was the worst case scenario possible, as it happened 23 hours after the last backup (1 hour before the next). I will definitely take more care to ensure the same thing doesn't happen again.

Sounds like someone was doing something important like the home page and clicked something he wasn't supposed to, O, this was already said.

Also it had nothing to do with the home page changes.

Anyway... [ 1 click = doom ] isn't fun at all. Although, it wasn't something too serious... ( downtime due server restart ) ...Ahem.
