Is the mp3 was edited? From 1/4 harp, kick sounds to 1/8 harp, kick sounds?
I notice that the original BMS version is strongly different from the mp3 you're using

Hello Wh1teh!

I found several things in your beatmap which needs to get fixed before this beatmap can be moved forward.

Ranking Criteria wrote:

Your "soft-hitnormal is only 73ms long. As you can see here:

Furthermore i'm a bit dissatisfied about the hitsound usage, overall the hitsounding is correct but sometimes the hitsounds get too loud.
As example in the Beginner difficulty. You have from here 00:33:795 - 60% hitsound volume and suddenly at 00:53:124 - to 80% while the music doesn't get louder or anything. I recommend you to use for Beginner and Normal difficulty one volume for the whole song. 55% would i recommend and in the Kiai sections 70%.

This being said, i also found in the higher difficulties some time stamps where you did use a hitsound two times what also causes that the hitsound get's suddenly way louder played than intended.

As example in the Hyper:
01:26:949 (86949|0,86949|1) - /same time stamp in the Another.
00:56:345 (56345|3,56345|2) - here as example in Eternal

Please recheck every difficulty carefully fore more.

One more thing. Can you please link me where you got the edited .mp3?
You said it's a "delaymaster+" but this tells me absolute nothing.

With this being said, i disqualify this beatmap for now.

Hi I'd just like to post about something I have a bit of knowledge about. Wh1teh is referring to the DELAYMASTER+ difficulty of this song in BMS (as seen here). Anybody who is confused about the BMS mp3 sounding different is most likely looking at the wrong difficulty.

Well, I went into a look into the editor, played all the diffs with 0% music volume to find inconsistency in the hitsounds but I didnt find anything weird so just call me when the cooldown is over so I get to qualify this (tho I might have a difficult time)

hello wh1teh, I had something in mind while looking at this map. especially about the diff gap between Normal and Hyper. which I think is kinda too big

00:09:634 - on Hyper. I think its kinda too dense compared with normal which have barely any notes there

would like to suggest to make it simplified into only 1/2 on every synth rather this 1/4 synths stream. i dont think some novice players cant transitioning into such hard pattern suddenly.
apparently its the 1/4 synth seems the same as Another so difficulty progression will be like Normal ->almost no notes, Hyper -> 1/2 synth, Another -> 1/4 synth.

00:20:104 - I have no idea how is this could be more simplified. But anyways in Normal, you only use one LN here which is kinda "light" for covering such a dense stream. having 2 LNs would be a good idea.

00:32:990 -

from a 1/1 main beat into 1/4 jumpthrill? that sounds kinda harsh. i think you can reduce that to just one note each. that would be much more convenient for the difficulty progression


the rest seems i'm gonna repeating myself since its kinda similar.

hello wh1teh, I had something in mind while looking at this map. especially about the diff gap between Normal and Hyper. which I think is kinda too big

00:09:634 - on Hyper. I think its kinda too dense compared with normal which have barely any notes there

would like to suggest to make it simplified into only 1/2 on every synth rather this 1/4 synths stream. i dont think some novice players cant transitioning into such hard pattern suddenly.
apparently its the 1/4 synth seems the same as Another so difficulty progression will be like Normal ->almost no notes, Hyper -> 1/2 synth, Another -> 1/4 synth. While it might look dense, the patterns in hyper are really easy both in terms of reading and playing. Especially leading up to the [12] [34] [12], it's basically just a really slow roll.
While in normal I think accenting these sounds makes up for a really cool effect. Also after that you get a really challenging section so it's not a bad thing to give the players time to "reset" their hands before that.


00:20:104 - I have no idea how is this could be more simplified. But anyways in Normal, you only use one LN here which is kinda "light" for covering such a dense stream. having 2 LNs would be a good idea. It's just a roll, from this skill range onward players have to deal with this kind of pattern constantly in many ranked maps. And trust me I tried to simplify it before, 1/4, 1/2 etc. Everything just looked and felt arbitrary and didn't make any sense to me no matter how much I tried to believe.

from a 1/1 main beat into 1/4 jumpthrill? that sounds kinda harsh. i think you can reduce that to just one note each. that would be much more convenient for the difficulty progression Honestly, jumptrills are one of the easiest patterns in this game, if you've mastered Normal you should the very least be able to handle this pattern. Normal has two-handed trills in the latter half of the map, it's not really that much more effort to jumptrill vs. single note trill. (Even tho starrating would have you believe otherwise...)

would like to hear your opinion about it c: As I've disqussed with juan and several other people, Hyper is way overrated, should be almost .4* lower in my opinion. The reason for this is that while it's dense in terms of notes, the patterns make the notes really easy to hit. Not many one-handed trills, no heavy anchors etc. I wanted Hyper to be a nice introductory to somewhat denser jumpstream and I think I succeeded in doing that.
And while Hyper is overrated I think Normal might even be a bit underrated, not by much but still. My goal there was to force the players to learn more complex rhythms and patterns, such as gallops, slow "minijacks", two-handed notes and two-handed trills.
My overall thoughts on this is that Normal looks super easy to an experienced player, when it definitely isn't. And to a player that doesn't analyze jumpstreams patterns a lot, might be hard to pinpoint why the patterns feel so easy in Hyper, even tho it looks so dense (Kinda like the opposite case where sometimes I would hear people complain that they couldn't pass the old 4K dan with Candy Galy, and couldn't pinpoint why. The reason was heavy anchors on the index finger).

i was also concerned about the Normal-Hyper gap while modding but considering its only 149 bpm with only 2 minutes duration, playable-wise 1/4 & 1/8 stream patterns, and the actual gap between beginner > normal & hyper > another is also quiet big & appropriately progressing if you play it, i think they are designed to have similar big gaps from one to each other, that's why i didn't really bothered much about it.

reducing most parts in hyper would make hyper-another gap even bigger, but i agree somehow with rivals where the beginning part could use less 1/4, at least until 00:11:245 (11245|3) -
toning down the beginning part would give lesser impression of, endless feeling of playing constant 1/4 streams, if that make sense.

I've tried to think of a way of saying this without sounding like an elitist or something. But if you can't play a chart then u play something else and come back later, simple as that. I don't think the gaps are unreasonable here between any of the diffs, if you can barely S Normal, Hyper is going to give you issues. Same goes between any diff, S on Hyper does not mean you will be able to handle the density and minijacks of Another. Handling the minijacks and the density of Another masterfully does not mean you will be able to perform well on Black Another. S on Black Another doesn't guarantee you a pass on Eternal.
The point of the first 2 diffs from my point of view is to give new players an introduction to what the game has to offer, to be able to play a song that they like. Not to solely train the player for the next diff. Act more like a stepping stone to try out more maps.
Also my point still stands, the patterns are really easy. And as ajeemaniz said, you have to keep in mind it's only 149bpm. This is almost as easy as jumpstream can get.
