Afaik you can't.
The coloroverlay of the press is always the same color(some yellow) so if you use it on yellow there might be no visible change.
Would be helpful if you could reference one of the skins where the color stays the same.

K1 is unpressed while K2 is pressed
You can't avoid color changes in input overlay.
