The naraku holds basically take the really confusing part of technika and bring it to osu!. This is something I honestly don't want to see, it's just not intuitive.
Requiring the player to release a hold on time would also be a potential issue, as I can imagine predicting when a hold note ends would be a nightmare. Players are used to holding short repeats till they finish anyway, I don't see why hold notes should be any different.
Just the normal holds like in osu! stream would be better, although we can already achieve the same effect with sliders (it just looks funny when we do it)
