Hi!

So I decided to make this guide for anyone not exactly great at computers, apologies if it seems over-simplified!

Ever played a beatmap and really liked the skin, but don't know where to find it? Well, you can use the beatmap as the skin! Here is a guide on how to do so.

First, open the osu! folder. You should find the option in the settings.

Next, click "songs"

Now find the beatmap that contains the skin you want. I'm going to be using "Pika Girl" as an example.

When you find the song you want, right click it and select "copy"

Now go back to the osu! folder and select "skins"

Now right click and select "paste"

The song should appear there! Now restart osu!, (exit osu! and start it again) and go check your skins, it should be in there now.

Hope this helped :)

Yes it does.
As long as the skin assets are in the main folder, and pasted into the /Skins/ directory, the game will recognize them
