I found this map(https://osu.ppy.sh/b/827317) via Happystick's video today and I wonder if there are any other maps with a similar style to practice jumps.

I like the fact that there are close to no streams and the rythym is steady. The low bpm also helps
If you have any maps in a similar difficulty range (6-7 stars) please do share.

Oh, and lower than ar10 if possible

Help is very appreciated

Ar doesn't matter since you can always edit it, by the way.

Though I never understood practicing something you're not going to encounter for a long time

Go to beatmap list, set it so that it search all maps instead of ranked maps, then search for jump training or jump practice. The result will be close to that map

Thing is I almost passed it and got something close to a 250 combo on it
I just have fun while playing those maps and as long as im not compltely lagging behind some skill gain should become evident at some point

Each to his own I guess. I just like challenging myself

Always good to practice ahead even if he wont encounter this for a while it'll make jumps at his level feel like a joke.

But when you're practicing something so ridiculously out of your skill level I find it hard to believe it's something that will be well retained, and even if you are retaining it, I'd argue that you're likely not playing it properly, so you're just practicing flailing.

Practicing ahead is fine but imo it has a limit and that's way too far

There's a point where your lack of accuracy is dictated more by random luck rather than skill, and it probably won't help you to just base practice based on that luck. Especially when it comes to jumps, if you can't get near 80% or more, it's probably not the best map to train on. There are many other maps that are easier that can help you practice jumps.

otherwise you can do whatever the hell you want if you just want to have fun

Haha not even I can barely play Rabbit jump maps and I practice them a lot and my improvement was massive. you can always adapt to things it might take a while but the end result is massive. Thats just what I do though you don't have to do what I do and I might even be stupid for doing so but wtv

You're already a very experienced player though so you're unlikely to fuck yourself up since you're already so good

I'm more referring to the growth of a less experienced player like OP

But yeah, there is no 'right' way to learn and what makes for good practice is different for everyone so keeping an open mind is good so thanks for offering your own perspective on this

Lots of jump maps here, in order of ascending level of difficulty. :)

edit: yeah it's a pretty old thread lol, 4 years old in fact. but still, good practice maps in there ;)
