So I don't know if this is some kind of joke, but the MWC 2016 showcases were just released...and it is an absolute mess. Seriously guys? You are going to release this NOW when the tournament is practically over? And to make it worse, no one bothered to spell the players' names right? Or even the countries, you misspelled Malaysia for god sake. Also, I don't know why a MANIA showcase includes autoconverts. This is really...terrible. If you are not going to put at least some kind of effort into making a RESPECTABLE showcase, why bother releasing it SEVERAL WEEKS LATE in the first place? This is infuriating towards the MWC players, to say the least. I just really hope that more effort could be put into these showcases in the future.

- did you read the description for group A. because that roughly covers why the videos were late and why we still bothered to upload them.
- i will use whatever replay i can find. convert or not.
- i will prioritize using mania maps were possible, but if i can't find something suitable, i grab a converted map. unless you'd rather i use 2* mania specific maps. this is what i do with TWC, and CWC. MWC isn't an expection
- i make mistakes. i try to catch as many as i can, but sometimes, some get missed
- i normally get help when making this, but this time due to reasons, i got the entire project thrown into me along with other stuff so i did kinda have to get through this mostly by myself while trying to juggle other things. only thing i didn't have to do this time was the audio.
- please don't ever say i don't put effort into things. that actually seriously hurts

Sorry if I came off as being rude, I was just disappointed with the showcases. I also was not aware that you had the whole project to deal with yourself, I was expecting that multiple people were working on it. Hopefully more people are able to collaborate on future showcases.
I just noticed that the site has a new functionality that people's top plays (if they are in the top 250) can be downloaded from the Top Ranks section on their user pages, that seems like it will help with obtaining more suitable replays for future showcases.

we normally do have more people working on this. but yeah, it wasn't the case this time around. so i was a little stressed doing so since i actually hadn't been told how to even make the videos, and then when i actually did get help, it only served to make things even more confusing \D:/

also why some replays are recorded speed 40? dont you come in mind that no players plays at that speed? lol
or make the same speed for all replays recorded, like 24 or 25, this would be more pleasant to watch than teleport notes

i'm not actually sure. it might be related to the issue that occurs on the world cup streams. i just hit "Watch Replay" and the scroll speed was faster than normal :<
As for the replays, you really could've just sent a PM to the captains and ask them for a replay they want to be shown, especially if you've sent all of them PMs about the showcase anyway (which I assume that you did because even I got a PM on last 4K tourney)

You could say "I need a replay by X date or I will pick one myself".

It's such a disrespectful slap to the community's face and it makes it seem like the gamemode almost doesn't matter according to the people who work on it. I hate being rude, but this is what the showcase is telling us.
Jole, you could have been a bit nicer about how you said that. Deadbeat has already both apologized and explained why things turned out the way they did. That said, I agree that it's a real problem to release something in such a state, but being a dick about it isn't going to solve the problem.
Please just ensure that the same thing doesn't happen next year. If you plan on releasing showcase videos, you need to ensure that they are taken seriously and done properly.
