A pretty simple feature request; Instead of having to change the local offset on a per-map basis I'd like to it to apply to all beatmaps in the mapset if the mapset is ranked.

The reason for this is simply that all maps in a ranked mapset will have the same offset/uninherited timing points, and you're if you're using a local offset on the beatmap it's because the mapset got ranked with an incorrect offset (assuming you're using the feature correctly).

For unranked mapsets I'd like it to not affect the entire mapset but only the current difficulty as they can contain multiple songs.

at first i was like what no but then I realized you are entirely correct and i'm dumb

supporting, lol.

I agree

Why i didn't think about it? I agree with this :D

I disagree. I regularly change offset of maps in the same mapset differently. Say 4 difficulties, for first two i dont change anything, for 3rd i change it for - because it feels a bit slow, and for 4th i change it for + cause its a bit to hard to me so I need to compensate my being late. Hope it makes sense. Setting it once for all maps in mapsets means I would need to change each map, each time i play it. With how things are now you need to change offset only once for each map.

Then you learnt to read in a wrong way

How can it compensate for you being late? The time you have for hitting the circle is exactly the same, it just changes the synchronization with the music.

yes, please

Wow so this is the key to reach 4000pp :O

Never really understood why it wasn't mapset-wide, since offsets have to be the same throughout the diffs.

lol, I never realized about this since my current mapsets are usually made up by a single diff xD (trying to imply that I play only the last diff anyways :P)
But yeah, in case someone plays more diffs it makes sense :3

Invisible support here too

That's not how offsets work
I do somewhat understand what gr0t is saying, actually. In two different difficulties of a mapset, it might feel more accurate to have a certain offset on one beatmap's difficulty as opposed to another. As a mania player, I find myself dragging ever so slightly behind on actual streams with doubles in them as opposed to songs that are purely stream. While the natural offset of the map based off of the audio's waveforms might be a very specific and finite amount, what is being followed within the map (the actual audio, that is) might cause a player to hit very slightly differently against the timing window.

Two personal examples here: https://osu.ppy.sh/b/375580&m=3 and https://osu.ppy.sh/b/382539&m=3 -- the latter of which is synced 6 milliseconds earlier than the former.

With that being said, I do support this idea just so as long as you have an additional way to adjust maps on a per-difficulty basis within the game, as there are a few maps that have rather large offset discrepancies (for example: Speedcore 300 on Mania requires me to have an absolutely ridiculous offset shift and having to apply that to each difficulty separately is annoying).

That makes sense.

This is my favorite edge-case. The only mapset that uses different mp3-files for each diff in a way that would make me request to move the first rule of the Audio-RC into guidelines. But as long as that rule stands this feature request makes sense.
(good job larto on bubbling+ranking xd)
