Heya~ M4M from in-game.
The Normal diff looks great to me, but I’m just not sure if it can qualify as a beginner-friendly diff. Because of all the ½ rhythms, especially this one: 01:19:724 (3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3) – I think it would be a good idea to add an Easy diff as well. I guess you can try making the Normal diff easier but that will create a bit of work for Lily Bread. I don’t know, this is my own opinion, so I guess you can ask for a BN or QAT’s opinion as well.
Great map and Good Luck~!
General:
- The BG has to be 1366X768, or 1024X768. Just a few adjustments are needed, so here is one that is 1366X768: http://puu.sh/pgmnC/3cd7af3ed6.jpg
- I suggest rather placing the preview point at the kiai, thus here: 01:11:783 – but it’s entirely up to you.
Lunatic:
- 00:03:842 (4) –This circle looks a bit out of place since you didn’t place it in a linear shape like the rest. Rather also place it in a straight line behind (3)
- 00:13:327 (3) –Perhaps add a new combo here to support the slow slider.
- 00:27:444 (6) –Maybe add new combo here and remove the new combo here: 00:28:768 (1) – since the beat is stronger on (6)
- 00:29:430 (1,2) –Hmm, I usually don’t like a pattern like this since there isn’t really a difficult jump and the flow isn’t great, so maybe try something like this instead:
- 00:30:312 (3,5) –Rather avoid this overlap. It’ll make the pattern look neater.
- 00:34:283 (5,1) –I highly advise a stack here or you can try to avoid the overlap.
- 00:38:253 (1) –Perhaps place a small jump here to emphasize that guitar sound.
- 00:41:783 (1,2,3,4) –I usually discourage stacks like this since they disrupt flow and it’ll be more fun to play the pattern if they were unstacked.
- 00:44:430 (4,1) –This overlap can be avoided.
You can then place 00:45:753 (2,3) – on 00:44:650 (5) – - 00:45:974 (3,4) –Increase the spacing between these two objects. This is an insane diff afterall.
- 00:47:518 (2,3) –You already stacked here so maybe unstack these: 00:48:400 (5,6) – (It’ll then also make the pattern a bit more interesting to play)
- 00:57:665 (1) –This finish sound is stronger and louder than the previous drum sounds, so it’ll be better to increase the jump there.
- 01:01:194 (1) –Lower this slider for better flow from 01:00:753 (4) –
- 01:08:253 (1) –The jump can be increased here a bit for more emphasis on that strong sound.
- 01:13:768 (1,3) –Try to make these shapes parallel for more comfortable play. You can use the copy and paste option.
- 01:23:915 (3) –Add new combo here and remove it here: 01:25:239 (1) – since the beat on (3) is stronger.
- 01:32:739 (1) –Remove new combo here and add it here: 01:32:959 (3) – since the strong finish sound is on this big white tick. You did it here: 00:25:680 (5,6,1) –
Hard:
- 00:11:783 (1,2) –Same as the “Lunatic” diff, I think you should rather not stack like this since it disrupts flow. I think you stacked like this in other places as well, so I suggest going over the diff and just unstacking them if you agree with me.
- 00:27:444 (5) –Add new combo here and remove it here: 00:28:768 (1) – since the stronger beat is on (5) and the new combo will support it.
- 00:41:342 (5) –Either lower or raise this slider a bit so that the pattern isn’t in an exact straight line with 00:40:680 (3) –
- 00:54:136 (1) –You can place a small jump here.
- 01:06:489 (1,3) –Make these two sliders’ shapes similar since both of them have the same sound.
- 01:13:327 (4) –Add new combo here and remove new combo here: 01:13:768 (1) – since the beat is stronger on (4)
- 01:23:915 (6) –Add new combo here and remove it here: 01:25:239 (1) – to support that strong finish sound.
- 01:38:033 (4) –You can add a new combo here like you did in the Lunatic diff.
Lily Bread’s Normal:
- Since this is the easiest diff, an AR of 5 is too high. I remember one of my maps got DQ’ed because of this. Lower the AR to 4.
- Add a spinner at the end of the diff that starts here: 01:38:253 – because as far as I know, it’s advised that all the diffs in the set has to end on the same spot.
