Hello, just a question.
I realised that there are additional players who registered for this tourney via the thread which aren't in the registered list. Mind explaining to me why?
Aight, wasn't a problem at all. Never had complaints but it's plausible.Mut4nte wrote:
Hey, I have a complain about the tournament that is that you can ban 2 maps and there's only 2 maps on each modpool, that means that you can ban a whole mappool, making it really unfair for players that prefer a certain mod (not my case tho), but the map pool is one of the best I've seen in the group stages so far . I just suggest to make a rule about not being able to ban more than 1 map from each modpool
Well my example was really bad there. This is not what the rule meant. Lol, been using it for 3 tourney and no one recognized it. Me neither. No one did it wrong apparently. It means, you have 1 mod per round. If its gone, its gone. You pick NoMod, its gone for you. In Semifinals and above it'll be 2.tryaway wrote:
"You need to atleast play 1 ModMap per Round. Meaning, in a Best of 3, 1 Map is NoMod, 1 is Mod, 1 is Tiebreaker for example."
I think this rule is hard to justify in the groupstages.
Because !roll with determine who is going to first pick a map.
For example:
If I win the !roll, I ban some maps (doesn't matter for now).
But right after that, I'm going to firstpick a NoMod map (the one which is easy for me)
Due to my firstpick, my opponent has to pick a map with mods on.
Isn't this unfair because he might also had planned to pick NoMod too (but another map than mine)

Hey I just cheked the times that me and my group will play, and they are really bad, I cannot play that early, and one of the players I'll play against will be playing at 7AM, I think you'll need to delay our match in a minimum of 5 hours

You gotta read the rules dude.
I think I know what you are getting at, correct me if I am wrongCrsTramorio wrote:

Welp
Both roll. Higher Roll tells bans first, then opponent. Higher Roll starts woth choosing a map.tryaway wrote:
Sorry to bother you again, but I've got some questions about the bans.
1. How does it go?
Assuming player 1 won the !roll
A) Ban from player 1 -> ban player 2 -> ban player 1 -> ban player 2
Or
B) two bans player 1 -> two bans player 2
Because of strategy
2. Regarding 'ban whole mod section'
Of course you cannot ban one mod yourself, but how about together?
For example: if I ban a HR map, I can't ban the remaining HR map (duhh that's the rules)
But can my opponent still ban that last HR map and thus together we get rid of one mod section?
Thank you for reading this.
Have a good day.
Thing is, it's just that one map (I'm guessing you're talking about Reiwai Terrorism?) that stands out from the rest of the mappool. Yes, it's only "5.33*", but the bpm and spacing does make the map OWC finals tier. At least imo, increasing the general difficulty of the mappool isn't as much of a crime as having one map that is significantly harder than the rest of the pool.tryaway wrote:
Do you guys realize you put a map from OWC 2014 finals in your mappool?
I ain't saying that it is bad (well, in some way I do), but if the mappool from here gets harder and harder, it could hurts the quality of this tourney. We like challenges, but we are not rank 300 or something. Please keep it playable and fun for everyone.
Btw: the casters did great job this weekend. I like them KappaPride

Who knows, maybe this'll just be banned every match or something XD
Best of luck with the tournament!
Heh, look at #4,644 complaining.Halfslashed wrote:
I know that people complained about difficulty, but it really annoys me that the pool was changed post-release. I had started practicing some of those picks and had decided which ones I was going to use against my opponents, only to find a few hours later that they're all gone.
I hope something like this isn't done again, because I actually was looking forward to using some of these picks.
RIP Reiwai Terrorism and Gekiretsu de Kareinaru Hibi.
Inb4 this post gets flamed by people that only look at my rank.
Just ban it.Friendzone King wrote:

Is it possible for me to participate by using Sudden Death?
I will handicap myself by missing the first note on purpose or whatever so my score doesn't submit.
