So the 1/4 left/right's in CtB (aka "plate walks") are almost impossible to be found in ctb specific maps. How they play out, is very difficult on higher bpm maps. And if they dont fit the song/map, they should not be added. But my point here, is that we should start to use these in a controlled manner. So, i will list some examples on how to use them (showed in editor), and different patterns. I will also add a "not recommended over *** bpm" note, displayed in the "box" name by a number representing the bpm. Here are some good examples on 1/4 left/right's.

With Hyper's

Without Hyper's

Those i just showed you are some of the left rights i could see in CtB. Like, CtB is a rythm game. Standard have the "left right" patterns by normal streams. So i dont see why CtB shouldnt have it. The rule could be something like this:

1/4 left right's should only be used when the song fits it. And it should also be used with caution! They should not be spammed on eachother either, as they are easy to miss, if you can't control the catcher too good. They should also not be overused, and should have a maximun space of 1 grid (medium grid size) for non-hyper's.
I personally think they are hella fun to play, and should be used in CtB more. Toughts on this?

You don't use a guideline to promote a certain pattern. I don't see a reason for this.
He Ang CTB
I think he meant that if you map things beyond what is shown above, it can potentially turn very un-enjoyable for most people and thus ruining your map when it can be absolutely avoided D:

I think that's what guidelines should be aimed to do. To suggest the best option available, while people can choose to follow or otherwise take their own risks :x

This would be too difficult to specify diffculty-wise and bpm related. What you suggest is common sense and should not be added as a guideline.

you guys just suck, I personally think it would be sick to add harder patterns, and everyone loves some left rights, I personally love them, neu platinum still remains of my favourite maps, I don't see why it shouldn't be a new guideline

It's not because they are harder patterns or not. It's because guidelines are not meant to promote patterns, as simply as that.

There's no problem with using a pattern such as that in a map (as long as used wisely of course), but there's no real point to making it a guideline.

^This.
You are wasting your breath with this 'You guys suck' attitude. If you wanna use that pattern and it makes sense, just do it. As long as you can justify this, you should be fine. This should be, as I already told, common sense and not be highlighted in a guideline.
Deif
There's no need to add a guideline for a specific type of pattern like this one. It's a free option of the mapper to implement them in their beatmaps, and it's up to the discretion of modders/BNs/QATs to find them fitting or appropriate.

Common sense would be applied on those cases.
