Hi!
[General]
I'd love modding more but yeah songs without vocals get really old really fast for me when i'm modding so i'm gonna stop here, If you have any questions regarding the mod feel free to find me
Good luck
[General]
- Make the ending times consistent across the whole set, to me 01:53:787 - sounds like the best spot
- yeah
- Really disagree with the Ar choice here, 9.2/9.3 is enough (not trying to force my opinion or anything)
- HP could be like 6/6.5 for a better spread too
- 00:07:847 (2,3,4) - Make the blanket spacing consistent here
- 00:17:329 (2) - Hmm i can understand why you didn't map the 1/4 background sounds but to me these sounds warrant the usage of circles here rather than a simple reverse slider, it's a build-up so you can afford having a more dense rhythm
- 00:23:542 (1,5,1,5) - When making a pattern like this it's better to have consistent overlaps here, if you use symmetry on the vertical axis you need to consider the horizontal one too
- 00:27:956 (3,4,5,1) - Here the blanket spacing is also slightly inconsistent, also it would look more structured if you made 3 the same visual spacing from 4 and 5 aswell (using the same spacing you used for the blankets) https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7227574
- 00:28:937 (2,3,5,6,2,3,5,6) - Stacks are off here, more noticeable on the pair of 2,3s
- 00:41:198 (3,1) - Swap the NC here, consistency with 00:41:852 (1,2) -
- 00:45:326 (2,2) - Are you sure that these are snapped correctly? I'm pretty sure you intended to snap them on the 1/3 tick not the 1/8 tick, maybe you had a reason for that but it's a looooot more intuitive to stay on the 1/3 snap here because going from 1/3 to 1/8 is really awkward to read and play
- 00:50:231 (2,2,2) - ^
- 00:51:662 (3) - Kind of an awkward rhythm here, the slider end should definetely be clickable imo because downbeat+finish, delete the reverse arrow and add 2 circles instead? (also NC on the downbeat)
- 01:05:068 (3,4,5,6,1) - This stream looks kinda unpolished, it feels like it's meant to be straight but it's not, try redoing it using the slider convert tool
- 01:13:241 (7) - NC here, downbeat and very strong sound
- 01:22:561 (2,2,2) - Spacing here could be made better, like this 01:22:397 (1,1,1) -
- 01:25:013 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - I can see why you used the same pattern but tbh you could vary the angle a bit, idk feels kinda redundant when you play especially since vertical back and forths like this get old really fast when you're playing
- 01:36:294 (2) - Considering the theme of the map wouldn't it be better if this were centered on the playfield?
- 01:36:784 (1) - You could ctrl+h 01:36:130 (1) - to have a symmetry here with ^ being the axis
- 01:40:054 (1,2) - These could be stacked, for structure
- 01:42:016 (1,2,3) - This pattern has some kind of lack of "meaning" i guess? If you compare it to 01:40:381 (3,4,1,2) - which was coherent in its spacing and design. 01:42:016 (1,2) - I feel like the overlaps here with the previous notes are easily avoidable but what bothers me the most is the spacing difference here 01:42:179 (2,3) - 01:42:343 (3,4) - the 1/2 gap has less spacing than the 1/3 gap, it would feel better if it were the opposite
- 01:42:343 (3,1) - Center these on the playfield and stack them?
- 01:49:863 (7) - NC here for downbeat and strong sound
I like the old symmetric style but i feel you could make it even more obvious sometimes, if you pick a theme and stop following it at some point some of the notes/patterns can feel really random, just my 2 cents
