After some discussion in #taiko about this map I'm sure about certain things, so let's go with the modding.
[General]
In general spread is fine. This is a really good example to other mapper how a spread can be
large but consistent. Mapper used for every diff a
main snapping which he followed strictly and applied in a harder or easier way accordingly to the
paste of the song. This leads automatically to fine spread. Yet, some refining is still needed but which aren't difficulty at all:
- 01:03:002 - Kiai in Kantan should carry more 2/1 notes. You can see with the picture I provide downbelow that Futsuu to Oni all provide a denser pattern constellation with their main snapping than Kantan. Which is why you should probably have some more 2/1.
- 01:03:002 - Same timeline for Muzukashii with a different case: You should have some rest moments since your other diffs provide them as well. Oni has 1/2, Futsuu 3/4, Kantan even bigger, so Muzu should have some too, for example 3/4 at 01:07:890 (283) -
- 00:00:980 - Do me the favor and add the redline at this timeline. It has no difference in offset, neither do you have a greenline before the redline, so nothing would happen if you change the redline's place. We would be just on the more safer side, in case any of the QATs have a problem that the timeline is out of the timelines range.
- Countdown and letterbox can be removed in Taiko since they have no effect.
[
Muzukashii]
Actually, all I have to say about the Muzukashii is that you should have at some places just some note removals to avoid having too long 1/2 pattern or sections in general. It has to do with the
difficulty aspect which QATs take really serious. So whenever you have the possibility to put a break in an consistent way, please do / try so. This can for example happen at places like this 00:19:351 - or 00:21:205 - where patterns are kind similar to Oni. This kind of deletion is of course not a must and just one suggestin of many other ways. But please take this serious and try having at calmer parts or sections some breaks.
[
Oni]
As I told your before, after the talk in #taiko it has been found out that the difference with certain patterns might be too small. While personally I think the differences can be somehow distinguised, people are probably still right that this might be to insignificant to be recognized, so having some little refining would be appropriated. Have a screen from the intro (first line) which is compared with 3 other parts of your song (kiai not included, which has also just small differences):
- 00:00:306 ~ 00:09:070 - As mentioned above, people think this part shouldn't be so similar to the upcoming one, so making it more simple might be appropriate here. Things like kkk could be removed. Also let me mention: In case it becomes much more easier than before, don't forget to check the other diffs as well for spread purpose.
- 00:14:800 (75,76,77,78,79,80,81,82,83,84,85,86,87,88,89,90,91,92,93,94,95,96,97) - I do beleieve this patterns needs some kind of refining or restruction since I can't see any clear structure here. Might be just me, but patterns do not seem to have any "real" connection to each other either. I will just leave for some kind of brainstorming a pattern I changed quick: http://puu.sh/j8L41/722161aa9a.jpg
- 00:37:974 (200) - While this kat is supported by the song, it plays odd due to it's natural appereance. But we could avoid that by just deleting this note.
Actually I don't wanna say much more about the Oni. Overall it is fine, but as mentioned before, maybe making the parts differ a little bit more from each other would be better. Maybe deleting certain tripplets or having a break could be already moe than enough. If you need support with that, I can go more in detail. But for now, I wouldn't like to interfer too much into your mapping, since you are an old mapper who has his own ideas, too.
Recall me once you think you manage to find a solution for this. Sorry for the lack of examples, but I'm kinda in a hurry now.
That post looks so big, but actually there is not much to change. Maps are in general fine. Just Kantan needs some more notes here and there.
