Lyrics of the songs are storyboards and completely up to the mapper on whether or not they add them.
Being only a pretty visual, it's super unlikely that every song will have these. Ever.

Nice idea but as Ozzy said this is up to the mapper
Will be useful only when using the cinema mod.

You can make lyric storyboards pretty easily tho, just use this tool t/326808
It won't change the map's status to unranked
However, for the ease of Storyboarders, I kinda agree with this
I think there should be an easy tool in the design editor to make it even easier (you pick a font, time place etc.)

If you read deeper you'll see that t/107830 is tied up with SB. How else would it be added when osu is not intended as a music player?
