fixed everything on my diffs except for the red tick sliders, the main beat goes from constant to 1/1 to 1/2 in that part + combined with some other sound which is higher pitch on red ticks than white ticks (idk what to call it ;w;)

about the diff spread for hyper, I added a bunch of triplets in kiais and wub parts

also RLC has given me permission to respond to mods for him so yeah

00:26:001 - well there's 1/4 at the end of each measure--i used a less spaced pattern for that one because of the claps introduced in that measure
01:21:001 (2,1) - i feel like increasing the spacing here would make the slider pattern a little too hard (in such a dense section, slight spacing changes aren't really as noticeable anyway)
02:04:287 - it plays pretty much the same whether they're horizontal or vertical; i just made them vertical because i think it looks slightly better that way :p

anything not mentioned was changed!

Nah thanks for your concern but I disagree, it's natural for hard diffs to be much more dense with 1/2 than normals, especially with long songs. Hard is 80% more dense than normal, and normal is about 60% more dense than easy. Hard has no jumps and barely any 1/4, a few circles but mostly repeats which don't really count. Sounds right to me, but tbh numbers don't matter, what matters is if the spread is logical, and imo it's fine. I'll consider getting a few opinions though.

  1. 00:14:144 (4,5) - Confusing spacing which looks visually the same to 00:14:429 (5,6,7,8,1) - . And since people allright have to focus a lot on the rhythm & note density, you really should space this out.
    Same story with 00:14:858 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - :
    Similar cases below which I won't mark out again though.
  2. 00:15:144 (3) - Replace with a circle for a more lenient play, current one is really difficult to catch properly.
  3. 00:17:429 (2) - Having this closer to 3 makes for a better look and spacing decision IMO, it'd seperate it better from 00:17:001 (7,1) - this pattern.
  4. 00:18:715 (3,4) - 1/8 kickslider for the lulz actually would really fit in better
  5. Blanket: 00:26:001 (6,1) -
  6. 00:27:858 (3,1,2) - I think you could slightly improve the flow be starting the stream slightly below and in another angle:
  7. 00:32:429 (4,5,6) - First off, pattern looks and flows with bad slider leniency, try some stuff out:
    Secondly, It also feels awkward that you suddenly start following the 'more melodic' instrument right now, you should have started following it at 00:31:858 - properly already. What i mean is: replace 00:31:715 (5) - with 2 circles and it follows the melody more appropriate.
    The same should be done for 00:36:287 (6,7,1) - then as well.
  8. 00:38:287 (2,3) - Again, bad slider leniency on 2. I know these patterns are kinda fun to make, but don't overdo it.
  9. 00:49:358 (2) - Delete. There might be a faint sound, but it's not something that obvious or something that asks for a triple. I also feel it puts a better accent on the next triple at 00:50:715 (2,3,4) - .

  12. 01:06:287 - A problem that arises from this kiai (at least to me) is that these streams are not really lenient to play because of this rhythm/pattern:
    Taking above as example, you are forcing the player to adjust his movement speed continuously and really quick because these kind of patterns reappear steadily: 01:07:858 (4,5) - causes big tempo, then the low streamspacing at 01:08:001 (5,6,7) - lowers necessary tempo again.
    1/4 sliders leading into streamsections is generally a bad idea, so you certainly want to revisit that. Really easiest solution is to swap these sliders with regular circles as this will make it most comfortable to play.
  13. 01:10:144 (4,5) - Closer together please, the visual distance is confusing again.
  14. 01:10:858 (1,2,3,4) - Strong drumbeats on the white and red ticks here, so 1/4 sliders would be a better alternative IMO. Maybe a windmill or something:
  15. 01:35:144 (2) - position at 142 | 24 , neater pattern.

  34. I like the variety in patterns in your map, but you should work on the playability of them. Summarized, three things you really should consider for this:
    1.) Don't overuse patterns with bad slider leniency like 00:56:001 (1,2,1) - and 01:21:572 (5,6) -, they are hard to catch properly and play bad in masses.
    2.) Take care of your spacing (references above). Having patterns with visually same distance is nice, but you must consider their readability as well.
    3.) Don't sliderjump into streams extensively.

    Points 2 and 3 are the most critical ones.

  • Yeah idk how to mod this.
  1. 00:25:858 (5,6) - I'd feel more comfortable with this spacing being a bit higher.
  2. 01:01:787 (2) - Switch position of this to 01:02:072 - where there is an actual beat to follow.

  5. 01:41:358 (4) - I'd actually delete this and reposition the ministream, doesn't feel to great to streamstart at a blue tick.
  6. 01:51:572 (1,1) - Should be same size since they pretty much represent the same sound (not that it matters much eh)
  7. 01:59:072 (2,3) - Tried the following rhythm already? It goes better with the drumstep:

  9. 03:02:001 (5) - Would fit better to the melodic part if it had the same shape as 03:02:287 (6) - , just with ctrl+h/j
Conclusion: Not ready yet. RLC's diff is pretty nice, but you need further revision on that Extra. Try to find a compromise with the 3 points i mentioned at the end and you should be fine. Good luck /o/

    Taking above as example, you are forcing the player to adjust his movement speed continuously and really quick because these kind of patterns reappear steadily: 01:07:858 (4,5) - causes big tempo, then the low streamspacing at 01:08:001 (5,6,7) - lowers necessary tempo again.
    1/4 sliders leading into streamsections is generally a bad idea, so you certainly want to revisit that. Really easiest solution is to swap these sliders with regular circles as this will make it most comfortable to play. yeah I'll consider this and get some testplays/opinions, for now I changed a lot of the 1/4 sliders though

  34. I like the variety in patterns in your map, but you should work on the playability of them. Summarized, three things you really should consider for this:
    1.) Don't overuse patterns with bad slider leniency like 00:56:001 (1,2,1) - and 01:21:572 (5,6) -, they are hard to catch properly and play bad in masses. I think this is just more of a style conflict, it's not that they play badly (I don't get how slider leniency can play badly anyways lol), but as you said in-game you don't want them to act like circles, which I'm personally fine with.
    2.) Take care of your spacing (references above). Having patterns with visually same distance is nice, but you must consider their readability as well. fixed as many I could find
    3.) Don't sliderjump into streams extensively. changed some stuff in first kiai as stated earlier

    Points 2 and 3 are the most critical ones.
Conclusion: Not ready yet. RLC's diff is pretty nice, but you need further revision on that Extra. Try to find a compromise with the 3 points i mentioned at the end and you should be fine. Good luck /o/ super helpful mod thanks! fundamental things should be good now =w=7

  3. Pretty much the same problem as Easy. The map lacks structure because every part feels the same. In many cases, sections could be made more distinct and the map integrated better with the music. Lower slider velocity could be used in some sections like 01:33:715 to reflect the heavier feel.

  1. There's nothing to say. This map is the same as Hard, but with higher slider velocity.

As a solution, I propose stacking or overlapping the head of the next slider under the tail of this one. It makes the rhythm more obvious and also goes well with the stop/start feel of emphasizing beat two over the downbeat.
  2. 03:39:429 (1,2,3) - I don't understand why you used this jump at (2,3). It doesn't seem appropriate to emphasize (3) so strongly this way. Actually, I think it would be nice if you brought out the hemiola by pushing more on the groups of three notes as heard in the keyboard instrument.

fixed everything from the mod and also added a significant amount of quints+3/4 rhythms to hyper, spread should be fine now

Wooow good job toybot and Mikii, this Insane was really cool ;o Played surprisingly well for the amount of edgy overlappy patterns. And really well structured. Good job ;o.

I only rechecked Extra/Paroxysm and didn't find much worth commenting. However, I really need to point out that for me, there's a difficulty imbalance between the Collab Insane and Hyper. Hyper is almost completely DS-bound and uses a lot of 1/1 and 1/2 sliders instead of single-tapping circles. As well, 1/4 rhythm is only used occasionally, and when they are, the triplets/stream are usually stacked, not spaced. Collab Insane however, uses not only single tap jumps but quite a few kick sliders too, not to mention 1/8 rhythm. Streams (though none are really long) are also noticeably spaced rather than stacked. I think adding more 1/2 circles in place of long slider-rhythm could boost the intensity of Hyper even if you decide not to map jumps. There is also the issue of readability because from Hyper > Collab Insane the difficulty in reading the map also increases quite a bit.

Anyways, let me know what you think ;o. I think more opinions on the spread between Hyper > Collab Insane would be nice too, considering the jump in rhythm/readability/strain.
