I already made a similar thread about this same topic for osu standard, now i'm making one here too.

So i can just do about any map under 3 stars in mania (im good with 4k and still practicing 7k)
whenever i feel like i should switch from 2 stars maps to 3 stars with 4k , boom it just throws me so many notes i can barely even read one, the speed is not a problem i can do fast maps under 2 stars with 240 bpm (4k), it's just that theres so many notes that i can't see whats going on
I do play auto converted maps but i also play maps specifically for osu mania too

So how do i improve enough for these maps?

Ok, so there's a big thread here all about how to improve: t/146615

Most people will just say "play more" because that's the only guaranteed way to improve.

Try to read at faster scroll speeds. The faster the scroll speed, the more distance there is between notes. This means that there will be less notes on screen at one time, making it easier to read.

Another suggestion would be to play those 3* maps more often than you do, even if you do terribly when you play them. Just trying to play them wil slowly train your brain to get used to the higher note density in them.

Judging by your performance graph, you started playing mania seriously about a week ago. It takes most people more than a week to really get the basic skills down. Honestly, nobody should be asking about how to improve until they've been playing seriously for a few months at least. Until then, you're still in the early stages of learning to play.

Alright, i'll start playing those 3 stars maps a little bit more often just to get used to it and see what happens

I did read it before i posted this thread, but it didn't really help much, except from telling me to practice both 4k and 7k so i just made this thread to seek for more advice

Hey, the problem has to do with the cognitive learning process. Even though you may think that you are used to the keys and 2 star songs are easy, your brain may still be struggling to correlate that the leftmost bar should mean leftmost finger press, it is just that the 2 star songs are slow and simple enough for this process to not be an issue. Only solution... "play more". Sorry man we've all been there.

You shouldn't be expected to see the patterns and high level play in baseball if you are still working on perfecting catching and throwing the ball. Once this process becomes autonomous, you should be golden. This learning process is a good skill to learn for life as well, and the same thing is true for osu!Standard. Good luck man.
