Are there recommended maps for practicing switching fingers back and forth? The normal diff of this mapset is a perfect example with HR+DT since it has slightly overlapping sliders. I prefer maps below 2.7 stars with not too fast slider velocity.
I understand you are looking for maps with overlapping sliders but still, alternating is something you can practise on any map as long as you force yourself to do it.abraker wrote:
The problem is that I'm used to doing 1 finger. Maps where that have sliders overlapping close to each other like the one I linked force me to alternate fingers or I'm almost guaranteed a combo break.
I also use one finger a lot. What's the problem? You're playing two star maps for fucks sake.abraker wrote:

True and true. Yes I can practice on any map, but on certain patterns it feels more natural to alternate than others. For example, if there is a double note, I am likely to just double tab. I would also use one finger for any sliders the have a space in between. If there are overlapping sliders or a stream I would alternate. For double note and slider (on top of each other), I would double tap and alternate.Endaris wrote:

2.7 star maps with HR+DT are more fun to play than 2.7 no mod due to their more linear patterns. However, I will learn to read nonlinear with due time. I am just frustrated I can't alternate (something equivalent to a trill in mania), and figured to ask you guys for alternating friendly maps.woqx wrote:
Also: You don't have to alternate everything. You can just alternate triples for now, alternating won't be as hard when you need it cause the maps get too fast. It's playstyle preference. AAAAnd common rule for std-beginners: Don't play DT. Get gud first, then you can play it.

There are however maps that are harder to alternate than others, perhaps that's what he meant?ZenithPhantasm wrote:
Just try to alternate every map you play. There are no specific maps for alternate, only slow ppl.
No, he's asking for the kind that is the easiest to alternate.pandaBee wrote:

I find any map that has a lot of differing-length bursts sequenced in short time-frames between one another to be difficult to alternate.
