Lol 86% Better raise that HP to 8 to prevent spam passes just like what I did. Some patterns are simply too hard to hit. Might look on those but I won't go deep on this

4k Another:
202 bpm evil jacks... ok. Can't really play this so i don't have much to say

7k Another:
A couple of hand cramping patterns here and there. Will try to dish out a decent mod here

4k Hyper:
Cool diff. Some sections just need a better difficulty distribution

Better get a modder who is also a top level player to mod this. Because I find a couple of patterns here simply unplayable

00:13:515 (13515|6) - i dont really like this note to be in the 7th column. Kinda gives the impression that its supposed sound is similar to a drum in the quad
00:14:258 - while it has no other sounds. The synth is expressed very well so i kinda like to see this as doubles. Same applies to future cases like this

Thanks for modding but due to the messiness condition of the map and I can't really map a good dense 1/4 patterns, I decided to delete it but

Since mania needs more difficult ranked maps, I want to take some of my time to look into maps like this.
Due to lack of time, I'll only be looking at the hardest difficulty:

[7K Black Another]

  • Columns

  1. 00:07:723 - Should be a four note chord


  2. 00:10:099 (10099|2,10099|0,10099|6,10099|4) - there are some inconsistencies in layering. For example, this chord is four notes while 00:11:288 (11288|6,11288|2,11288|4,11288|1,11288|5) - this is 5 note chords, and both of these are the same intensity in terms of sound. Make the amount of notes consistent.


  3. Same goes for 00:12:476 (12476|4,12476|1,12476|2) - and 00:13:664 (13664|4,13664|6,13664|1,13664|0) -


  4. 00:15:520 (15520|4) - ctrl+H


  5. 00:15:594 (15594|6) - move this note somewhere else to avoid the four note anchoring that happens at 00:15:149 (15149|6,15297|6,15446|6,15594|6) -

Make everything into either four notes or three notes, but don't use both. This part isn't very dense, so using four notes for all of them is fine for me.


  10. 00:25:545 (25545|6,25545|2,25545|1,25694|3,25694|4,25842|5,25842|2,25842|6,25842|1,25991|3,25991|4) - not very adhering to the music. Pitch relevance does help a lot in making some musically sensible patterns. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5548898 here is an example. Doesn't have to be exactly like this, but you get the idea.

If you rearrange stuff, then you may be able to avoid a lot of the triple minijacks like 00:29:258 (29258|3,29406|3,29555|3) - and it will play a lot better.


  14. 00:33:862 - The layering here is really dense. Try to use the four / five note chords sparingly. Maybe emphasize the parts with the synth melody with a five note chord and tone down everything else?

    Midsection: Most of my suggestions will be same as the above, just look out for all the layering inconsistencies and try to avoid overly dense patterns (or emphasize a certain part of music while doing so). If you feel that you need to remap some parts completely, I welcome you to do so.
