What about an inbuilt bpm/offset tool to help with the timing on maps?
When you start editing an untimed song, a pop-up will appear asking the player whether or not they would like the editor to help find the timing for them. They will then be shown a preview and decide if the tool found it correctly, and if a tool for bpm is too hard to create a tool for offset seems almost necessary, at least to me. I think this will bring new players into editing, as the timing is always the hardest part of creating a map, and it will let players get straight into the map they are editing without playing around with the timing for ages. Another idea is for players to give the tool a bpm, and have it find the offset for a song within a specific area (for songs with multiple timing sections.)
This will make editing much easier, and allow for more maps to be created at a faster rate.
