I heard that people play more than 500- to 1500 times especially those 7 star maps and such and im actually curious because I when I try fast maps AR9 4-7 stars maps I my eyes can follow perfectly fine but my hands can't move that fast and I fail in 5 seconds even after numerous trys but with all those small sliders and single notes my finger can't keep up . I just want to spectate someone who is starting a new insane map so I could see the process in those few hundred times. If you look through my play history if there are more than 20 plays then i must have been restarting a lot more than usual thanks

i'll kill two birds with one stone by asking another questions

what are some maps that could help me tap using alternative fingering? when you get a combinations of small sliders, notes, and ministreams you have to be efficient at using alternate fingerings? thanks

single notes in a session is a major problem of mine, when I stumble across these I know that im tapping with the beat (i don't know because im using a laptop keyboard) i tend to get alot of 100s so that brings down my percentage and i want to maintain at least 97 but i started experimenting so i decided to pay close attention approach circle and i tapped the note very right after the circle hits the rim. that method worked but that little delay is so uncomfortable so i decided to turn on auto and it sounded exactly how i experimented . The problem is that people still get ss rank on doubletime, hardrock, and maybe hidden. I'm just wondering If im out of my mind or something, I'm a pianist so I don't think I should have any problem with rhythm

Big question I feel obliged to ask: why are you playing 7 star maps? (your words)

Stick to the AR9 4-star counterparts if you want to play AR9s. Don't overdo it, or you'll just start mashing and you'll develop bad habits that'll take very, very, very fucking long to fix (just ask Riince - he did that and regrets every part)

As for alternating, start on slow streams - there are a few practice maps I'm sure someone will post, though I don't know any. Remember too that when learning streams, technique >> speed. Learn it slow, learn it well

Also check your offset if you're hitting notes on time and are getting 100s

The reason your hands can't follow is because you have only 99pp. If you want to practice higher ARs at your level, playing Hard Rock is the main option. You won't learn much from watching others play.

try to play maps your fingers can tap and you can keep up with your cursor

listen to songs

have fun

if you can play the difficulty, usually you don't really see ar difference between first and the following playtimes, other than random mistakes and then getting tired and concentration wavering

you shouldn't just grind one map you can barely over and over and slowly get better at it

Learning alt is starting over and doing easier maps well. Learn alternate=mindnumbing perfect practice grind.

well i did try a 7 star map once and twice but i stopped lol
and by overdo, do you mean AR9 maps? -- i'd like to know more about it, developing bad habits is the last thing i want to do.
if your kind, could you direct me to an offset guide?

thanks

Play More.

And no, being a pianist doesn't give you any advantage in osu!.

lol I was just implying that I wouldn't have any trouble with rhythm plus the keyboard keys have no weight apposed to piano keys so of course it doesn't give me any advantage

following =/= reading
remember that, its important

After playing ar6 for an hour ar8 feels like 9.
ZenithPhantasm
After playing AR11 for a couple minutes AR9 looks like aids.
DT-sama
After having aids for a couple of years AR9 looks like AR11.
pandaBee
There are people who don't play all AR ranges for the best of all worlds. For shame.

4-7 is obviously way too hard for you. Start out much lower and work your way up.
Any map will help you alternate at your level. Literally any map that isn't too hard for you.
Singles notes aren't your only problem, you most likely suck at everything atm, just like everyone when they first start out.
If you're well trained in music you should have a better sense of rhythm to start off with, but that alone won't get you very far in osu just like how being good at the piano doesn't mean you can jam out on the violin.

Just play more. Come back after 5k plays.

Your best plays are on Normal difficulty maps. Start going up slowly in difficulty. Dont waste your time with "4-7" star maps. Besides, only the best players can play 5+ star maps. I am rank 15k and have played this game for a decent amount of time and can't even dream of passing a 7 star map. Just play at your level and you will slowly improve.
