  3. 00:12:774 (6,7) - I think you should swap these. 00:13:105 - is a strong snare hit (which fits more as k). Also applies for 00:15:426 (14,15) - | 00:18:078 (24,25) -
  4. 00:26:033 - Missed a mappable sound here? Like in 00:23:381 (45) - , for consistency also.
  5. 00:31:337 - Similar issue as above ^. I think you missed a sound here
  6. 00:32:332 (60) - Strong vocal. Add finisher?
  7. 00:33:658 (65) - This sounds rather like a deep drum hit, change to d?
  8. 00:34:321 (67) - The opposite: sounds like a snare hit. Maybe swap to k?

Same as in muzu: find the inconsistencies in drums and snares, cba to point out all of them lol. In this diff I'll just mod spread between diffs (cus bad spread = instant DQ)

  1. unify the Widescreen Support (seems I'd never get bored of saying this

  2. The amount of 1/2 usage is 15+, I think you need to decrease it. It's a bit too much to me.

    LGV's Normal

  3. yeah, this one seems great, but one point I think it would hurt the ranking process: The usage of various SV. The way you used it can perform well in an Advance or a Hard diff, but in a regular Normal it's just overdone. I suggest you just use two kind of SV (0,75 and 1.0 or 1.0 and 1.1)
  4. 01:06:310 (6,7,1) - use 1.2x ds for consistency
  5. 01:55:370 (6,7,1) - the same as above

    BM's Hard

  6. 00:17:746 (4) - unify the ds for consistency
  7. 01:26:696 (4) - better NC to emphasize the stream
  8. 01:54:625 (6) - to avoid confusion, better delete this one, cuz the beat you can hear here is actually 1/6
  9. 03:03:575 (6) - the same as above

    Insane

Well, imo it's fine since the normal is a bit harder than usual (so is the easy to fit the set) , I don't think that this is something major, since it's playable (had a newb friend to test it, said it's all good)

ok put simple circles, tho imo it's not confusing (like I said, had a friend who tested it) unless your first map is this exact easy, but hey, fixed it for the sake of the visuals

But this is such an important beat and you already have a break on 00:54:044 - . Could you place a circle down? It seems intentional, though 00:56:862 - . But I don't agree with that :( Although, there's inconsistency if you want to keep that, since 01:01:503 (1) - is mapped correctly, whilst, again... 01:04:155 - that is not. Actually, never mind, because in the second Kiai you did the same, so.. yeah.

02:21:061 (6) - (On BM's Hard) NC for the sake of the 1/6? Is quite difficult for "advanced" players to know these things.
02:24:376 (5,6) - (On BM's Hard) This is seriously "hard" for this difficulty. You have a previous jump similarly to this one but that one makes sense, since it was to the same direction. I don't think an anti-jump is okay for this situation.
Personal comment on the Hard: Do NOT ignore such prominent beats like that, God dammit!
01:11:613 - 02:33:160 - 02:32:829 - (On Normal) What about these totally and definitely useful green lines!

Lost the response, but pretty much everything was fixed other than the undermapping in Hard, NC in Extra and 1/4 sliders in Vicious.
oh also the "antijumps" in Extreme are fine tbh.

Some 1/4 sliders are vicious. And you really have to listen carefully to the song if you want to know if they follow something or not, uuuh.

We (actually, it's only me, baka template) have found some potential issues that we feel are important enough to address before continuing:

Vicious

Unpolished Spacing

  • Mainly LGV's parts feel like they could have had some more mods, the spacing (and often as a result of that) feel pretty unpolished.
  1. 00:25:702 (1,2,3) - The low spacing between (2) (3) seems pretty random here
  2. 00:40:288 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Similar to the above, why is the spacing between (4) (5) so low?
  3. 02:38:299 (1,2,3,4,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1) - This section is so calm, yet the circle jumps are crazy high. While the last section 02:42:608 (1,2,1,2,1) - is more intense than the rest before, it is still just building up intensity and doesn't call for a huge jump pattern.
    Those are just examples. The disqualification is more about the general diff and that it needs more mods, not like "fix those particular issues and you are good to go".

Vicious vs. Extreme

Generally, I feel that there was a lot of work put into Extreme, while Priti's parts of Vicious have been rushed. That's the impression I get from the patterns and consistency in both diffs.

Anyway, another problem that I can't really put as a disqualification reason, which is why I am putting it in this notice: The actual difficulty of Extreme and Vicious. The reason why Vicious has such a high star rating are the jump patterns at the end of the kiais. Those patterns are much easier to play than the ones in Extreme though. Extreme uses a jump / antijump concept (for example 01:01:669 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4) - using high spacing to emphasize notes), which doesn't push the star rating that much but is really difficult to play, as the flow is pretty harsh. Vicious might have more jumps here, but it's always some kind of back-and-forth movement going on there, which makes them much less threatening than the patterns in Extreme.
tl;dr I think the hardest patterns from Extreme are way harder than Vicious, the star rating is inaccurate. I also don't think the rest of Vicious is mapped so that the diff is really more difficult than Extreme, except for the spaced streams which are rare. I have got no solution to this problem, to be honest, maybe we can find one together. I'd really like to here more opinions from pro players and mappers on this case.

If you disagree with these suggestions, please reply to this thread justifying why so we can discuss alternatives.

Otherwise, please reply to this thread when these issues are resolved.

Yes, star rating doesn't really matter. But let's explain it this way:

Vicious is intended to be harder than Extreme. It has a custom difficulty name, higher spaced streams etc.
Yet the peak of the map is mapped much less flowy in Extreme and therefore feels harder to me. If the mappers agree with this, the patterns in one diff should be changed to fit the other one spread-wise. I hope my view is more clear now.

There is really a need for discussion here, as I can't think of similar cases where this happened in the past.

I kinda agree with ^, it really does feel harder in Extreme, but the diff is priti good imo, if one diff's jumps have to be changed, it should be the Vicious' ones (tho I I don't really know how it's supposed to be changed, either some spacing increase or idk lol)

After some considerations, I've decided to delete Vicious.
The feedback about it was mainly negative and as far as I see, it overshadows the quality and investment I put in Extreme.
