Heyo! This'll be my second skin I made, this time I'm here with a pro skin for ranked play. I call it Bland, it doesn't have much of any theme to it at all besides being minimalistic with gradients. I'd like some feedback if possible since this is only the second one I made. If you're interested in adding more effects there is a folder that contains a few extra elements that are left out, you can just drag em in if you didn't like the other one. I don't have Standard skinned for non-widescreen (I'll create the elements for other game modes to have non-widescreen and widescreen support then I'll wrap around and make the std have non-widescreen support as a topping to finish it off)

How to use optional elements

  • 1. Navigate to the "Optional" folder
    2. Open the folder of what you want changed
    3. Copy whatever files you want to have instead of the default
    4. Paste and Replace the files by pasting the copied elements into the Bland folder

I see my skin element. Are you sure put that "watch" of my own skin and "replay" has been removed? And the numbers are made wrong, you can clearly see in ranking screen. Please correct. :)

Looking at your Clear Skin Ultra 2.0 which I assume is the skin you're talking about that I used your skin element. I think its just a coincidence that we used the same font, if you look at my "watch" button it has a box around it. If you still insist on changing it I may if you like, also just now looking at your skin, our mod buttons look similar too, it is almost scaring me. :?

Mod buttons are similar, but color and font (Capitalized) are completely different. Everything OK. :)

Random has been around forever, I know your skin does not have before. I have your skin looked times. Very similar :)

Oh boy your 200th post on my thread <3. Glad you aren't those people that would continue accusations!

Also updated skin on 2/15/15, now has fixed ranking score size and placement adjustments.

Just wanted to mention that I did another update on the same day, the skin is now updated to version 1.2, see changelog for what changed.
Sorry for two updates on the same day, I didn't mean it to be updated twice in a day sorry again! :?

UPDATE 2/15/15
Started working on CTB mode for the skin.
Added Poll for Mania skin colors
Keeping poll open until perhaps tomorrow at 12 pm Central US & Canada Time.
Will start work on Mania mode for the skin after CTB.
Disclaimer: I have no experience skinning CTB so pardon my mistakes, would appreciate a lot of advice for it c:

Hurray bumps for update 1.3!

Update 2/16/15 Skin Version 1.3
Its the weekend and I got a lot of stuff done :)
Skinned mania and catch the beat
Need to skin the menu for non-widescreen users
Only mode left unskinned is Taiko
I don't know if CTB is any good, I need a CTB player to guide me on what should be fixed
Poll for Mania skin removed
Taiko mode will be skinned somewhere along the next week
Disclaimer: Also no experience with skinning Taiko c:

Things I know might be trouble:
Mania notes/key colors may need to be changed, this is because the colors are close to each other (I had no choice :( it was themed to be black and white, and I had to make it stand out from the lines in the background)
CTB is probably hard to read, I'll change it if its unpleasing to the eye (Need opinions first!)

Hopefully you Mania and CTB players like the new update ;)

Just a tip:

For minimalistic skins I would normally choose extra light or light fonts, just to make it seem more modern.


oh and it's missing some letters
anyway the font is called Source Sans Pro
